What do you call a person who threatens violence then fails to follow up when the parameters are met

If the country and the world can not agree that using military force rather its missile or strikes to try and stop someone from using chemical weapons is good thing what can we agree on? It would seem to be nothing.
Lavrov: Avoiding Idlib ‘attack’ probe would mean intl community not looking for truth

If an international inquiry into the chemical attack in Syria's Idlib is not instituted, it will mean that the international community is not interested in establishing the truth about the matter, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said after talks with his US counterpart in Moscow.

Still No Proof :dunno: : Russia’s Top Diplomat Demands Probe Into Syrian Chemical Attack

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov renewed calls for an independent investigation into the chemical incident in the Idlib province of Syria that killed as many as 100 people.

Russia wants an Investigation we just want to throw missiles at Assad

Look who's Putin's bitch now. You believe the Russians over your own country?
I believe proof ....not claims by "Deep State" do not go squish cuck ...

When faced with the question of going into Syria, here is how the board reacted less than a year ago:

View attachment 121465

Given now that a republican is in the White House and, like all Republicans has no trouble sending someone else’s kids into the meat grinder, what does that make the members of the board who all of the sudden think war with Syria is cool?

A). Hypocrites
B). Republicans
C). A & B (the same thing)
Dear barbie, what kids were sent to Syria? Are those cruise missiles Tom Cruise missiles? WTF are you regressives talking about? No ones kids were sent over there. stop lying out your ass.

To Muslims a crack over the head with a big stick sends a message they understand.

So much so, they launched attacks from the same air base the next day. Apparently the message wasn’t received.

Did they use chemical weapons?

Does it matter, if a conventional bomb kills a child, that child is just as dead.

Oh ok, so you don't believe in all the international agreements and laws banning chemical weapons then.

So the point had nothing to do with the children that were gassed (as Trump apparently lied about), it was about punishing the perpetrator? And we did that by not hitting the gas or preventing any more air-raids?

The point is when someone violates those agreements, you let them know you won't stand for it. Would you rather they keep using chemical weapons, and normalize the use of them by doing so?

Perhaps you don't know history very well. The Germans invented chemical warfare. Their reasoning for using it in World War I was that it would end the war quickly because it was so horrible. Instead, it caused an arms race as the allies quickly had to make their own chemical warfare program to counter the Germans. As the allies came up with defenses for their chemicals, the Germans would come up with a new horrible way of killing people. Got a gas mask that protects from one type of chemical? Then add in a non-lethal gas that penatrates the mask but makes the person vomit, forcing him to take off his mask and thus inhaling the lethal gas. This is the kind of shit the Germans came up with. Make no mistake, chemical weapons do not just instantly kill people like they show in movies. The victims are rendered defenseless and sick and in complete agony for weeks or even months before death. Imagine an intense burning sensation in your lungs and on your skin, and nothing can be done about it.

This is why the entire civilized world agreed to ban these weapons. You say torture is wrong to use on terrorists? Yet chemical weapons on civilians is just fine.

If we let these barbarians get comfortable using chemical weapons, they will all start using them. You think random AK-47 and truck attacks are horrible, wait until the Muzzies start gassing schools. Trump is putting these barbarians on notice, he won't tolerate that shit, even if you would.

How the fuck did he put them on notice? No military troops were killed or even injured, the runway was left intact, and the bunkers containing the chemical weapons were left alone as well. Syria STILL has their chemical weapons, they still have the airbase and it is still operational. The only thing he did was take out a couple of airplanes, which Russia would be happy to replace because they sold them to Syria in the first place.

Wow, you just take Syrian and Russian propaganda seriously. Do you believe only 23 of the Tomahawks hit their targets?

Actually, I believe what I saw on VICE News, the BBC, and other places that showed the damage of the airstrikes, and no, the runway was left intact, and the reports coming out say that no chemical weapons bunkers were hit (he said he didn't want to contaminate the area, but it's a military base), and that the airbase was up and running in 8 hours.

Again, shown by various organizations using actual footage after the attack.

Yes, you don't spend a million dollars to create a pothole that can be repaired in a day. They destroyed the aircraft. The mission wasn't to take out the enire Syrian Air Force, we're not at war with Syria. Of course they would fly in new aircraft to show off they still have military capabilities. They haven't used chemical weapons yet, so it would seem they have gotten the message.

Wasn't at any intel briefings. I watched the post attack footage on places like VICE News (great news source by the way, just the facts, no opinions), and the BBC, where they showed what the results of the missile strike was.

But, I understand.............if it doesn't follow your narrative, it's "fake news".

Actually, the cost of the missile strike was 70 MILLION dollars, not one million. They sent over 59 missiles, of which 58 struck.

You'd think for that kind of money they could have at least put 4 of them on the length of the runway, as well as send a missile or two to destroy the chemical weapons (reason for the attack in the first place).

And, in warfare, when attacking an airfield, one of the first places you want to hit is the runway, because that makes the base ineffective.

Trump wanted to appear strong and decisive, but if this is how he's gonna run attacks, we're in trouble. All he did was give Putin an excuse to sell more planes to Syria.

A multi-level analysis of the US cruise missile attack on Syria and its consequences | The Vineyard of the Saker

The pretext:

I don’t think that anybody seriously believes that Assad or anybody else in the Syrian government really ordered a chemical weapons attack on anybody. To believe that it would require you to find the following sequence logical: first, Assad pretty much wins the war against Daesh which is in full retreat. Then, the US declares that overthrowing Assad is not a priority anymore (up to here this is all factual and true). Then, Assad decides to use weapons he does not have. He decides to bomb a location with no military value, but with lots of kids and cameras. Then, when the Russians demand a full investigation, the Americans strike as fast as they can before this idea gets any support. And now the Americans are probing a possible Russian role in this so-called attack. Frankly, if you believe any of that, you should immediately stop reading and go back to watching TV.
