People like Ringtone. Not all white people, only those who think like you. A non racist comment. that places no inherent quality on whites as an entire group. This is what whites like you call racism. But it is not. Washington was wrong, 100 percent incorrect. And his opinion was painfully felt by black who subscribed to his philosophy until 1965. And if you notice, MLK was not about the Booker T Washington. And because of Those blacks who did not follow Washington, we got civil rights.
And still today, whites like you champion Washington's failed philosophy.
I'm not white, I'm mulatto. My father is white, my mother, black. You know, just like W.E.B. DuBois, only my father is not of French, but of Irish heritage. But, then, it's likely that you ascribe to Pressley's theory that "[w]e" whoever that is, "donāt need any more black faces that donāt want to be a black voice", meaning that any person who doesn't ascribe to the godless, lilly white paternalism of Hegel, Rousseau, Robespierre, Marx . . . DuBois need not apply. Like Washington, I ascribe to the teachings of the incarnate God Almighty and the sociopolitical theory He inspired: the classical liberalism of the Lockean tradition of natural law.
Washington inspired hundreds of thousands of blacks to work hard and prosper, and they did! Tremendous economic progress was made within the black community in the South and the North from 1880 to 1950, but no people can ever fail to demand equal treatment under the law and thrive forever. As for Dubois, he was right about the latter, but being the paternalistic fool, the godless miscreant, the Marxist, house negro that he was. . . . He threw up his hands and quit when his pitchfork-wielding Talented Tenth never materialised to lead his people to the communist Utopia.
A little metacognition for ya.
