You may not like it, but Donald Trump was elected President of the United States two years ago and will certainly complete his term in office. Does anyone seriously believe that, even if Republicans maintain their majorities in Congress, the next two years will be catastrophic for our country?

In 2020 there will be a new Presidential election, and voters can pass judgment on President Trump's performance while in office. If things have turned out as badly as some predict, neither he nor his party will remain in power. At that time, whatever bad policies he may have pursued can be reversed.

Even his SCOTUS appointees all defer to legislative authority, so new majorities in Congress could pass unambiguous legislation to correct any perceived misinterpretations of existing law.

So what is the real fear of another two years of Trump/GOP policies? Does anyone really believe that "people will die" during this period or other such nonsense? Or is it a fear that continued exposure to sunlight will kill off the left wing bacterium that has infected our country?

If you are unhappy with the direction Trump and the Republicans have taken this country

Let it be known next month

The more Democrats in Congress the more catastrophic for the country.

They fear becoming totally irrelevant, as opposed to just being mostly irrelevant.

Let's just hope people like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez doesn't try to demote the electoral college.
That could change the outcome to some states. Especially in Florida, Michigan and others.
