What are the chances that Comey empanels a Grand Jury?

No you leapt into shit like you always do without knowing what you were talking about. That just makes you a typical liberal fantasy propagandist. So we will do as with all your posts, laugh and talk about you liberals stupid attempts to bring down Trump.

Based on last Monday's testimony by Comey, where he stated that he was authorized by the DOJ to further the investigation on Trump "associates" ties to (or collusion with) Russians who meddled in our election, the NEXT crucial step would be the empaneling of a Grand Jury to determine if there's enough evidence to proceed.

Perhaps this is why Comey was summoned to the WH last week, since such an event (as empaneling a GJ) would precipitate a halt on any executive branch future policy proposals.

The chances that Sessions would authorize Comey to go forward may be slim, since Sessions is a former Trump campaign adviser; perhaps the "compromise" will be the halting of Grand Jury empanelment.....IF.......Nunes steps down from chair on the House committee....OR......the appointment of a special prosecutor...

What do you think?

There is a zero chance Comey will impanel a grand jury. 1. He is conducting a counterintelligence investigation not a criminal investigation. 2. Should it become a criminal investigation, only a prosecuting attorney can impanel a grand jury.

The FBI does not have the authority to empanel a grand jury. That can only come from the DOJ with the approval of Attorney General Sessions.

Reading comprehension issues....again???

I wrote above

".......The chances that Sessions would authorize Comey to go forward may be slim, since Sessions is a former Trump campaign adviser....."

He's also said he would recuse himself from any investigation involving the Trump campaign.

Whatever authorization Comey and the FBI receive from the DOJ, it won't be authorization to empanel a grand jury. Strictly speaking, in fact, grand juries are ordered by courts.

Just for clarification.....YES, a court selects the GJ, and the court "charges" the jurors with what their tasks entail.....HOWEVER, a prosecutor (in this case someone within the DOJ) initiates the process.

i did state possible "criminal" investigation....and I already clarified that since Comey's FBI is under the DOJ, that he (Comey) may request for a DOJ prosecutor to begin to empanel a GJ because he (Comey) has sufficient evidence.

Once again you're showing your ignorance, federal grand juries are used mostly for fact finding, it other words another investigative tool. Yes they have the ability to hand down indictments for prosecution after the investigative phase is over, if the evidence warrants it. And out of curiosity, why are you using the British spelling for "impanel"?

Why do you keep repeating a lie? They looking for things Russia did sans Trump. Start telling the truth.

I think the American people know the whole Russian hacking thing is a smear campaign by the Democrats and will make them pay a big price in 2018.

It is always "interesting" when right wingers on here profess to represent and speak for "the American people".......They're usually dumber than a spent book of matches...LOL

Take your talking points like a good soldier. Liar.

hey moron, this is NOT for you (you're too stupid) but for others (really, go to bed)

“I’ve been authorized by the Department of Justice to confirm that the FBI, as part of our counterintelligence mission, is investigating the Russian government's efforts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election,” Comey said in testimony before the House Intelligence Committee. “That includes investigating the nature of any links between individuals associated with the Trump campaign and the Russian government, and whether there was any coordination between the campaign and Russia’s efforts.

I think there's a high probability that Comey will empanel a grand jury.
