What Americans want…

Not what the federal government wants for Americans.

Obamacare is what the federal government wants for Americans... so much for any sort of freedom and individuality. Let's hope that changes soon... lol

I don't think mere hoping is going to get it done. We can't expect Republicans and Democrats to dismantle the behemoth that has given them so much power. It won't change until we stop supporting them.
True, a Bull in a China shop like Trump is a good start...

No, it's simply a dramatic end. Picking up the pieces and starting over might sound appealing, but it's a naive disaster to wish for it.
Think of the federal government as a meth dealer. And think of socialist entitlement programs as meth. And A certain percentage of America as meth addicts.
Do you cut the head off the snake or allow the masses to hit rock bottom?

What the hell is it going to take to get the USA on board the single payer train? It's really the best solution to this stupid back and forth bickering. Let's try to catch up with the rest of the civilized world.

Sorry I don't want VA quality government healthcare staffed by a bunch of losers mired in government bureaucracy. Then there's assholes like Obama who says old people are not worth expensive treatments, they should just take opiate pain pills until they die.

Your fears are unjustified. It wouldn't be remotely anything like that.

I shouldn't take Obama at his word? The VA isn't a giant fucked up mess? What are you smoking lib if government can't run something as small as the VA what makes you think they can run it all? Then there's the gigantic amount of fraud in Medicaid/Medicare.

Single payer is one size fits all, fuck that.

Sure, all we need to do is find a civilized country with a service level we're accustomed to.

Sure, try Canada.

Evidently you missed the part about a service level we're accustomed to. Guessing not many are happy with waiting months for a doctor's appointment...I know Canadians aren't happy with the waiting.

Your right wing talking point has no basis in reality. My brother lives in Canada. It's not like that at all.

VA insurance is government bureaucracy, yet no one complains. When did Obama say old people are not worth expensive treatments? You know dam well that was never said. In fact Medicare does one fine job.

Americans didn't want insurance companies to drop pre existing conditions? They didn't want insurers to drop lifetime caps? They didn't want to write of 40% of every dollar as "overhead"?
But they did want to sell unsuspecting people policies that covered almost nothing, and now they will be able to do that again.
Insurance is not healthcare, no one should be forced to buy it… Ever
Auto insurance? Mortgage insurance? Homeowners insurance?

Yup, those don't sound like healthcare either...and guess what you have a choice on all of those insurances.
Your choice is that you must buy them- period!

Mortgage insurance is certainly not a requirement, put a larger down-payment. Homeowners insurance not a requirement if you rent. Auto insurance is not a requirement if you don't drive. I want a house so I choose homeowners insurance, I want to drive so I choose auto insurance.

It will take Americans embracing socialism. Many of them are ready to do that, but most aren't. It will probably take force of arms to get what you're after.

We already do embrace socialism, at least in terms of certain things. Why not health care? It's where it makes the most sense. Single payer isn't quite socialism, but I get your point.
That's why A strengthening of the 10th amendment is vital for the preservation of this country... The federal government obviously disagrees.

I wouldn't hire government to mow my damn lawn let alone run my healthcare. Think your average DMV office type administration.

No you don't choose, if you don't buy the insurance you don't have a home or a car. The same with flood and wind insurance.

That is exactly what Obama said... just give old people with pain a pain pill and be done with it.
Why would we give the federal government that amount of authority? Are they qualified for that sort of decision? Do we want to live in that type of society? Do we want the federal government making our decisions for us?

Never mind government is corrupt as fuck, with total control over the nations health industry what do you think is going to happen...
