What a Trump win would mean to the Republican Party

Name others who find him a favorable person to be US president. What other world leaders admire him, besides Putin and Kim? Enlighten us. Are any of them not fascist dictators?
I did better than that. I named a bunch of countries whose leaders endorse Hillary, and are destroying their countries because of idiotic policies they have, that are similar to Hillary's. These endorsements (especially the one from US enemy, Vicente Fox), are far more relevant than who is or isn't endorsing Trump.

I have ALREADY enlightened you.

The only two world leaders who like him are Putin and Kim Jong-un. Not surprising.

HA HA. And you got this "information" from where ? A drunk dream ?

----------------------------------- oh geez , who cares about other world leaders except for strong leaders that are or may be future enemies of the USA Esmeralda . Most of europe is full of pacifists with their wussie leaders Esmeralda .

If Trump won, the GOP would celebrate, for a few days. Then reality would set in. Trump will change the values that the GOP has stood for, for decade. The Repiblican Congress will block most of his insane ideas. So, short term, perhaps a political win,

Long term, the GOP will never be the same. He will trample on individual rights. It will takes many years to return many Democratic principles. The Repulican Party will be despised due due to his crazy years in office. The GOP will never be the same.
-------------------------- oh , it'll be fun and the TROOMP will have his executive powers , pen and phone the same as mrobama had !! Plus the Trump sounds excellent on guns [individual Right that they are] , building an exclusion wall , looking at or curtailing muslims , rebuilding USA military and other actions . If the TRUMP gets in its going to be interesting times asyou lefties whine , cry and riot JimH . :afro:

Gotcher Individual Rights right here Pismoe. Wave bye-bye now.

I fond your video choice interesting. There are a ton of examples of Trump willingly violating and/or disregarding rights in general. Expanding libel laws is not one of them (though I strongly disagree with his statements but I do not do so as an issue of rights)

I've posted that same video over and over because it boggles my mind that it doesn't get the news window that far less implicative blatherations have. We make icons out of "the judge is Mexican" and contortions mocking a muscular condition and "blood coming out of here wherever" and "rapists" but this is much more the elephant in the room.

The "libel" angle in my read is insignificant. That's just Rump citing his favorite bully tactic -- the lawsuit. It's the end game that concerns me.

And it's actually not Donald Rump himself that concerns me, since he really can't effect such "opening up" anyway --- it's the fact that when he says that he gets approval from the sitting sycophants cheering against their own self-interest. I know it's Texas, but even so. :scared1:

That's the real danger -- the demonstration of what mob mentality can be so easily baited into without a second thought, even when it cuts their own collective throat. As in the case of rally violence --- Rump never personally took a swing at anyone, but his willing minions take the hint and do it on his behalf. THAT is the scary part --- the obliviousness to the fact that the man behind the curtain IS the man behind the curtain. And when we point out the puppet strings over their heads they just go "la la la" and drone on with the Mantra of the Day.

(Usually at this point, I notice they change the subject to "Obama"... "Hillary Clinton"... "Bill Clinton"... "Bill Cosby"... anything they can think of to get out of the Discomfort Zone so it doesn't have to be faced.)

What it shows me is that the general public at this point simply does not care to learn anything about politics at all. Most Trump supporters do not care what he stands for because they are supporting their 'team' or someone that they have labeled as 'their guy' without any serious thought on what the actual positions, policies or how they will govern. As you mentioned Obama - this has really been the case at least since Clinton. No one has cared what they do or what they stand for. We got lucky with Clinton, at least he could govern, but Bush and Obama have both been abysmal failures IMHO and those that support them continue to utterly ignore the failures and prop up the 'accomplishments' without a single original thought.

Trump is simply the culmination of an electorate that refuses to pay any attention to what it is doing. The worst part is that he is not the last. He will lose but we, as a whole, are learning nothing from him or his example. I guarantee that after this election when he loses that those supporting him will dig deeper into their trenches as they did with Romney, Hillary will continue the same shit policies that will be ignored by her supporters because they 'won' and in 4 years we will have a repeat of this bullshit. I have no idea what it is going to take to wake up the electorate but I do believe that the longer it takes the worse it is going to be.

Aye, and to me it demonstrates the power of television as a propaganda device, without which Rump would not exist as a saleable entity. And worse, its power as a cultural values degradation device, without which ditto. Truth be told we haven't been electing candidates so much as buying political products for half a century or more, based on who has the more effective ad campaign, and Rump represents the nadir of that swirl down the drain.

I made no value judgment as to "Sweden is succeeding". I simply cited it as one example of socialism where no such correlation -- because it's just that, not causation --- of any limitation on civil liberties exists, so it's one example that disproves your non sequitur. Socialism is an economic structure; it simply has no relationship to whether free speech exists or not. It just doesn't.

Prove me wrong. Show me a causal relationship.

The fact that you even need examples of government expansion causing loss of freedom just goes to show how little attention you actually pay to other countries, and this one. Russia and Germany are just the biggest examples, since they used Socialism to achieve that, since it naturally expands government power over time. The very first thing Socialism even does is take away the freedom to run your own business as you like, and that's a core component of every variation.

You can say that but it is not true IMHO.

Trump is just as much of a big government guy as Hillary. I do not see where he is so much better and most of his supporters say it as though it was a given because they have no idea what Trump has stood for.

He is an America Firster and I hope that he also has no use for the 'un' FAQ2 .

NO, you went off on a tangent about business regulation. That's not a "civil right". You're trying to move the goalposts. So on the contrary I understand only too well.
