They shouldn't worry about Covid tests, they should work to improve the antibody tests. If you have antibodies, you won't get Covid. If I took a Covid test today and it came out negative, that doesn't mean I won't catch it when I go shopping in two days.

My 90 year old father laughed about the shortage. He and his six siblings grew up poor and never had toilet paper. He said he didn't start using toilet paper until he joined the Marines.
