According to our lead Republican we should send all US terror suspects to GITMO.
Where will it end?
We are in a WAR. And if we want to win we have to quit excusing the instigators of said war.
I guess some actual quote from whoever this mystery 'lead Republican' is above usc's intellectual paygrade.

I see. War. So, once we invade them, take over their capitol and they surrender, all will be fine and dandy?
The terrorism problem isn't a war, but if you insist on calling it one, it's the stupidest war imaginable. We're letting the 'other side' dictate the terms and basically committing to remain at war as long as there is anyone out there who intends to do us harm. In other words, perpetually. Why do you want to let them set the terms?
Bush better move to Saudi Arabia.

Supreme Court already ruled on that. Would require an act of Congress to change. We are in a WAR. And if we want to win we have to quit excusing the instigators of said war.
The AG is correct, Federal courts have the better conviction record and are a more appropriate venue to ensure due process is observed.Speaking on Fox News, Mr. McConnell denounced the Justice Departments decision to prosecute two Iraqi men who were charged with terrorism last week in Kentucky. He said the men should be sent to the military prison at Guantánamo to face charges, even though they were arrested on domestic soil.
And the attorney general specifically denounced calls to require all terrorism cases to be prosecuted by the military at Guantánamo rather than in the civilian courts, characterizing proponents of that approach as employing fear-mongering and overheated rhetoric that is detached from history and from the facts.
Noting that no terrorism suspect arrested on United States soil had been tried by a military commission under either the Bush or the Obama administration, Mr. Holder said hundreds of such defendants had instead been successfully prosecuted in civilian courts. In none of those cases, he said, did a defendant escaped custody or did one of the judicial districts involved suffer retaliatory attacks.

Mitch 'Bush's bitch' Mconnel.
Google it.
We have no declared war going on.
We have no declared war going on.
And yet we are at war. Get your head out of your ass.
Are you claiming that we were not at war in Korea, Vietnam, Desert storm, Iraq II, and every other war we have been in since the last time we actually "officially declared war"

Where will it end? Why does the leftie concept of history go back only as far as the last republican administration? Eght German (potential) spies were arrested in 1942 on a Long Island NY beach. After a quickie Military trial in Washington six of them were transported to Sing Sing Prison and executed in the Electric Chair. The other two were given terms of 30 yars and Life in prison. After the war about 200 Nazis including about 10 women were convicted by a Military trial at Nuremburg and promptly hanged. Why is it so shocking and horrible that "terror suspects" might be shipped to Gitmo?
