"Speaker Kevin McCarthy said Tuesday he is directing a House committee to open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden over his family’s business dealings, launching historic proceedings ahead of the 2024 election. “These are allegations of abuse of power, obstruction and corruption, and they warrant further investigation by the House of Representatives,” McCarthy, R-Calif., said outside the speaker’s office at the Capitol. “That’s why today I am directing our House committee to open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden.”

Looks very likely we may have several articles of impeachment passed by later this week or next week; since it seems very clear that the one or 2 GOP hold outs will be changing their votes once the other Republicans bullies them around for a few more days.
Unfortunately, a couple of GOP lawmakers are now arguing over who gets the credit for forcing McCarthy to move forward with their impeachment show. Why can't they both just agree to share the credit?
Anyway, with an impeachment inquiry, now the GOP has subpoena power (well, they already had subpoena power but their idiot base doesn't know that) - and now they can subpoena more of Biden's bank records; or just search for whatever, something, anything....at least it will look like the GOP is doing something to take our country back from this racist tyrannical communist marxist socialist buddhist radical regime.
I am not holding my breath. The GOP will probably kick over the wrong rock on this like they did with Clinton.
