We need to not demonize each other for who we voted for.
When we are given no good choices we need to not blame each other, but the system that exists to preserve itself.
No, we need to put the blame where it belongs........the media.
Who in their right mind would want snoops going back in your life 50 years to find trash on you and bring it to the public? Who in their right mind would want to drag their family into it which the media does?
The media and their viewers (readers) is why we can't get good people to run for office. If they can't find something, they will make it up.
Leave taking sides to your favorite sports teams, not as a way to divide our country.
There is no middle-ground here.
So where is the middle-ground between Communism and Constitutionalism? There is none, because you can't be a half Communist or a half Constitutionalist. You either believe in one or the other.
Welcome to USMB by the way.
I think there is more than two choices here. I don’t have to subscribe to any party line or direction or definition. I am wondering if what you refer to as Communism, I would refer to as Socialism. I would like more clarity there. I also have concern when people use the Constitution as the support for their position. It is too easy to apply a skewed meaning to support their position. When you bring the Constitution into the conversation it distracts from me understanding how all that is going on personally effects you. How has the current political climate personally effected your life for the worse?
Commie Care is at the top of the list. After it went into effect, my employer dropped our coverage. Many other employers did the same. Millions of us lost our insurance and many can't afford Commie Care because it was designed for lower income people (likely Democrat voters). Middle income people (likely Republican voters) are the ones who get screwed in all this.
Bureaucracies. I have medical problems that conflict with me passing my Department of Transportation physical to do my job as a truck driver. I need a physician to sign a medical waiver form that says in spite of my conditions, I'm still capable of doing my job safely. It wasn't a problem in the past because they allowed my doctor to sign the waiver. But three years ago, they changed it. Now they want me to go to a government doctor to have the waiver signed. The problem is the government doctor doesn't treat my condition, so the geniuses in the bureaucracies aren't smart enough to figure out that doctors have a difficult time okaying a person because of their medical problems they are not treating. Now, every year is nail biting for me because I only found one doctor out of the hundreds that were willing to do this for me, and he gives me a harder and harder time every year. The government is trying to put me out of work when I'm totally capable of working.
Six months before Obamacare I was diagnosed with lung cancer and did not have insurance because my employer did not offer it. I could not afford the $1K a month it would have cost me for minimal coverage. I was able to negotiate favorable costs and was able to get through it all without having to declare bankruptsy. The healthcare providers were more than understanding, and I belive they charged me closer to what it cost for what they did instead of the inflated costs that are negotiated with the insurance companies. I did not buy into all the crap politicians and the media was saying how it was going to turn out. I will also say that Obamacare was woefully inadequte for the follow up I needed after. I have no idea if what the Repulicans have been trying to do will help or not. I doubt that they have our best health outcome in mind. Sorry to hear about all the crap you have to put up with just so you can work. I guess the point I would like to make is I don’t think any politician is going to help you unless it helps him or her first. I agree that Reagan was right when he said government is the problem. I hope that the current admin fixes things so your problem goes away. I wouldn’t hold my breath.
