If we stop letting politicians and partisan cable news frame our conversations, and honestly talk amonst ourselves we will learn that while we may have different ideas about how to fix the problems in our country we are more alike than different. We need to not demonize each other for who we voted for. When we are given no good choices we need to not blame each other, but the system that exists to preserve itself. Take the time to ask others questions so we can really understand each other. Don’t let Rachael Maddow or Rush Limbaugh tell us how or what to think. Don’t believe a politician has your best interest at heart even if they are from a party you may pin your hopes. Stop listening to politicians and watch what they do to know where they really stand. Leave taking sides to your favorite sports teams, not as a way to divide our country.

Whether it's romantic relationship, or a friendly relationship, or a business relationship, or a political relationship, or a family relationship -- once communication ends, that's it. It's over.

In real life, if no one chooses to submerge their ego long enough to be the adult in the room, don't expect improvement. Expect decay.

Can we all agree that infrastructure to drive our cars from one part of the country to the other is good for all of us?

We have to find common ground.
Hey Sciencerocks I am curious about your tagline “Democrats all the way”. What are you saying with that?

Oh, give Matthew a break. Don't go too deep with him. He's not a bad dude, just misguided.

I am a democrat! Doesn't mean that I couldn't come to common ground but it is the side I side with personally.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious.

It's like saying, "The way to end all wars, is to stop fighting them, and talk to each other instead."

And your plan for actually accomplishing all that, is what.....?

The only plan that works is for myself to listen and ask questions of the people on this forum or wherever I encounter the opportunity to better understand. If others observe that a better understanding is arrived at, then maybe they will try. So are you saying it is an obvious solution, but impractical and so why try? If my choice is to attempt to better understand or to call someone a retard for what they think, I will choose to ask questions.

When we are given no good choices we need to not blame each other, but the system that exists to preserve itself.

No, we need to put the blame where it belongs........the media.

Who in their right mind would want snoops going back in your life 50 years to find trash on you and bring it to the public? Who in their right mind would want to drag their family into it which the media does?

The media and their viewers (readers) is why we can't get good people to run for office. If they can't find something, they will make it up.

Leave taking sides to your favorite sports teams, not as a way to divide our country.

There is no middle-ground here.

Look, the Republican party has inner-fighting between the establishment and the Tea Party types. However the establishment is losing and the constitutionalists are winning.

On the left, the US Communist Party endorsed Sanders, Clinton, Obama both terms.

So where is the middle-ground between Communism and Constitutionalism? There is none, because you can't be a half Communist or a half Constitutionalist. You either believe in one or the other.

Welcome to USMB by the way.

Good point, specifically
You said:

Republicrats labor under the false perception the RNC is actually trying to limit and undermine the nanny state. DNC troglodyte sycophants believe collectivist sociopaths really give a damn about prosperity.

I think there is more than two choices here. I don’t have to subscribe to any party line or direction or definition. I am wondering if what you refer to as Communism, I would refer to as Socialism. I would like more clarity there. I also have concern when people use the Constitution as the support for their position. It is too easy to apply a skewed meaning to support their position. When you bring the Constitution into the conversation it distracts from me understanding how all that is going on personally effects you. How has the current political climate personally effected your life for the worse?

Commie Care is at the top of the list. After it went into effect, my employer dropped our coverage. Many other employers did the same. Millions of us lost our insurance and many can't afford Commie Care because it was designed for lower income people (likely Democrat voters). Middle income people (likely Republican voters) are the ones who get screwed in all this.

Bureaucracies. I have medical problems that conflict with me passing my Department of Transportation physical to do my job as a truck driver. I need a physician to sign a medical waiver form that says in spite of my conditions, I'm still capable of doing my job safely. It wasn't a problem in the past because they allowed my doctor to sign the waiver. But three years ago, they changed it. Now they want me to go to a government doctor to have the waiver signed. The problem is the government doctor doesn't treat my condition, so the geniuses in the bureaucracies aren't smart enough to figure out that doctors have a difficult time okaying a person because of their medical problems they are not treating. Now, every year is nail biting for me because I only found one doctor out of the hundreds that were willing to do this for me, and he gives me a harder and harder time every year. The government is trying to put me out of work when I'm totally capable of working.

Well it didn't take long for someone to bring forth his agenda.

Sure, we should have all those roads, but with one condition, you pay for it.

Already ahead of you in the real mechanics of getting that to happen. At least on the witch-hunt front:
Guilty Via Media: Is Media Liable For Kangaroo Justice?

Most of the people on this site would think Athens greece was communist and all of western Europe.

They don't know anything about what they're talking about...Also you're right as the constitution is extremely broad and short to allow society to evolve through time. That is reality.

We have roads to drive on already.

Why do you think keeping more of our own money isn't good for all?

I disagree on one thing. We have three fractions in the republican party. Establishment, tea party, and the populists
