I like the San Fransisco Fudgepackers. How cool would it be to have names that really meant something. To wit:I'm just curious what other sports teams should change their names because someone might be offended?
Tampa Bay Buccaneers they could be supporting piracy.

I have mixed feelings on this issue. On the one hand, I can relate to stereotypes being Jewish as well as bisexual so see the objections with that like carichactures and mascots. On the other hand though, if you remove all these depictions of First Nations people, other than Indian casinos, what occasion will be left for non-natives to speak about, or know anything about Natives?
It's like "1984" and going through history books editing out those undersireables you don't want anyone to remember, let alone care about. If we never see Indians, never talk about Indians, never hear about Indians, is anyone going to care when they go extinct?

Personally, the actual name of the Washington Redskins does not offend me. However, what does offend me is that the name was intended to be racist. George Preston Marshall was a "diseased" racist who hated all non-whites. Therefore, I want his legacy destroyed.
