That was a generic you, but you and people like you are the ones in favor of allowing them into the country. But answer the question. How does the government find them when they don’t show up for trial?
Well the same way they find anybody else who doesn’t show tons court date. They put a warrant out for their arrest and if found they get arrested and deported. Along with that we have much we can do to both speed up and improve our “processing” system… both at the border and through other avenues. This is what we really should be discussing but the partisans and media want to keep it on defon1… but back to my original point… we don’t have open borders

Yeah, and when Mexico can't afford to feed them any longer Mexico will expel them back to their country of origin. Problem solved. All these illegal aliens are demanding asylum because the NGOs supporting them and the Cartels are telling them that the demand will get them into the country where they can disappear. Few if any of them have legitimate asylum claims. They are economic refugees, not political ones.

Why would Mexico send them back to their own countries when it's just as easy to waive them on into the US?

the problem with "Stay in Mexico" was that it was built on a false promise that asylum claims would be heard on an expedited basis. Of course, like everything else Trump did, it was a lie, and Mexico decided to stop playing along.

A lot of that is probably China refusing to cooperate. Add in the suspicion any Chinese immigrant faces due to rampant industrial and military spying from not only immigrants, but their first-generation descendants and it's going to be tough on Chinese immigrants. Also there is going to be serious scrutiny on how your fiancé paid for her illegal travels here.

China really has nothing to do with it. I don't think she's going to do much industrial spying working in the salon she works in. As for how she paid for it, she made good money in China as a statistician and is still heavily invested in Chinese stocks. She got into this country legally. The Government has renewed her work permit every two years like clockwork, what she hasn't gotten after nearly 9 years here is an asylum hearing. And even the Marriage Sponsorship is going to take well over a year to get. That's how broken our "legal" is.

Having been EOD AND a Combat Engineer, I can say without fear of accurate refutation that transiting a minefield using a metal detector is a slow and painstaking process. That would allow ICE agents to be waiting for the crosser when he finally clears the minefield. Oh and by the way, many, anti-personnel mines way, way back in 1971 when I went to EOD school were made of non-magnetic materials and plastics and were immune to metal detectors. Even back then the military was transitioning to density detectors from conventional metal detectors.

All you need is one guy to document where the mines are, and the next group uses their maps. Unless you are going to send guys out every day to dig up the mines and replant them. (and they will be seen doing that.)

All this is a moot point, of course. the first time a child (legal or illegal) steps on a mine, whoever came up with that idea will be royally fucked.

No, but he was heading in the right direction. We will never be able to entire close the border. What we can do is close the easily accessible areas and force the illegals and drug runners into inhospitable terrain that will slow them down and make them easier to catch. We also need to close the loopholes allowing the so called "anchor babies" to access US services simply because they were born here and increase the penalties for knowingly employing illegal aliens. Take away the incentives to come and the flood will stop and the remaining trickle can be handled.

Um, dude, that Loophole is called "The Constitution".

Here's how we fix immigration.

1) Instead of trying to close the border (impossible, if oceans and mountains can be overcome, anything built by man can be overcome) we should go after the people who hire illegal labor.

2) Fix the asylum process to have cases resolved quickly. Appoint enough lawyers to process the cases (we have more than an excess of them in this country!) No reason it should take 4-7 years to resolve an asylum case.
