Was Satan wrong to demand equal rights in heaven?

When God's 'displeased' with someone he just kills them. Why not kill Satan? Why create hell and go through all that? And why with the entire universe to choose from does he put hell here? Why not on the other side of the universe?
If God just kills those that displease Him, why are there any Jews left?

God is better than Satan, how?

He's stronger and more powerful, therefore BETTER.

If we look at morality, Satan does not torture and kill babies the way God does

Human beings have no rights. Not even a right to life. We are here to test our souls through trial, pain, hardship and suffering. Nothing more.

Also, which sub-humans have ever demanded equality?

Women, racial and ethnic minorities, the handicapped, religious organizations, etc....
How could God have created sub-humans???
God only created 1 man. That's it. Everyone else, comes from God's creation.

God might have played a part in some of the others created, Isaac, John the Baptist, and Jesus, just to name a few. God created Adam perfectly, and Adam chose not to be perfect. So lay the blame where it goes, your ancestor, Adam.

Not necessarily. While Adam was the first, and the only one written about (in the Bible,) after the expulsion Adam and Eve went out into the world and encountered other people who weren't relatives. Presumedly, God created them.

Because Judaism came about from a previous religion the case could be made these other people were the products of their respective gods. Or if you don't like thinking about that kind of thing, can say God did it.

So Adam made both Eve and Adam's first wife...Lilith???
Eve was made of Adam. not from dust, like Adam, and Lilith is just you trolling.

It's pretty simple to surmise that others were created, we just don't know how or when, for who would Cain have been scared of? And who were living in the land of Nod?

If every little thing had been written down, then we would need wheel barrels to carry around Scripture, don't you think?

They had nothing else to do, like watch TV or post on a message board thread....They might have and it was lost, since it was oral tradition before being written...

More non-canonized than canonized.

Was Satan wrong to demand equal rights in heaven?

Heaven, from what we can speculate, seems to be a system that some would call a tyranny as no one was allowed to question anything or ask for change in leadership or policies.

Was Satan and the third of angels who rejected tyranny wrong to demand equal rights, and if so, are all people who demand equal rights on earth also doing something satanic?

Is this why most religions are reluctant to give women and gays equality? Do Christians and Muslims think equality to be evil and satanic?

Do religious people think that their Gods frown on the notions of equality of all people and is that why believers deny women and gays equality?

Been a LOOONG time DL.
First off Satan did NOT want equal rights as he had them. He WANTED equal powers and that is different.

"Fires"

Hi buddy. Yes, long tine no chat.

That indicates that he could be as powerful as God.

If Satan had equal rights with God, why did she not rule in heaven as equal rights says she had the right to do?

Satan HAD the equal rights of Jesus. What gave him envy was NOT having the equal powers of God.

You are comparing women to Satan. You ought to be ashamed of yourself. This is such vileness and savageness. Refrain from ever doing so again.

No they didn't. David lost a child because of his sin. Onan refused to give his brother's widow a child according to the Law. That was his sin.

He did not. He also didn't want equal power, he wanted to be greater than God, but wasn't.

In heaven, there is a perfect law of love. Satan was cast out of heaven for introducing tyranny. He wanted to rule by force and not by free will. If that is what you call equal rights, you are gravely mistaken.

Where did Satan get such notions if not from the creator of all concepts, God himself?

We know one time Lucifer was an angel of light.
Lucifer actually means light bearer
Freee agency ceases in some aspects in the sense that a person who wants to be saved follows the Father and doesn't take the opposite course.
Might be an interesting concept of women and authority to ask God about, but it's totally different with gays who willfully rebel

This is pure vileness. You are comparing women to Satan, which is unparalelled outrage. Refrain from doing so again.

Satan was wrong to demand equality to his Betters; just as sub-humans who try to demand equality to real humans are wrong

If morality is not what we should judge God by then what criteria should we use?

Obviously you're not aware of Herod's murderous acts on the city of Bethlehem.

In the eternities, there is no law regarding killing or murdering because nothing can die. It is a law instituted for mortality only. God places us into a mortal state to be tested to see what type of being we will become. At his own discretion he decides when we will come into mortality and when we will leave mortality. He is the sole controller over our mortal existence. Only he has the right to take mortal life and give it. Or when he allows others to do so legitimately. Self defense and capital punishment are such cases. It is not a matter of morality on God's part but part of his responsibility and authority. He is the overseer of this mortal life and has the right and authority over life and death here. God will eventually resurrect all mankind and we will live forever and ever. But for us, interfering with God's plan for us on earth, it is a different matter. We are commanded to not kill our fellow beings unless God gives us the legitimate right to do so.

Other religions may not agree, but my religion states there is a part of mankind that is self existent. This part is the intelligence of mankind. It was not created or made and neither indeed can be. God created man from intelligence and matter. Not from nothing. The intelligence of man has been free to choose, for as long as I can tell, for itself. God's children are raised in freedom. They choose good or evil in and of themselves. It is not God's fault. It is solely the fault of the individual making the decision.

It is true that there is opposition in all things. When God creates good, the opposite also comes into existence. You can't have goodness without having its opposite. When you create a law, you also create the potential for a broken law when free will is involved. Does this make God to blame for a broken law because an individual chose, of his own free will, not to follow the law? Of course not.

Might makes right and screw morality. Yep, sounds like the God of the bible.

Thanks for this.

It may also be that right makes might. If an overwhelmingly vast majority of God's creations recognize and honor him as their God because he is a loving, kind, wise, just, and merciful being, perhaps they obey his commands and are a source of his power. It could very well be that God derives his power over all things because he is honored by all things.

Doctrine and Covenants 29:36
36 And it came to pass that Adam, being tempted of the devil—for, behold, the devil was before Adam, for he rebelled against me, saying, Give me thine honor, which is my power; and also a third part of the hosts of heaven turned he away from me because of their agency

Mortality is a special condition where an immortal spirit is clothed with a body. That body is not immortal. It will eventually die. The resurrection is the reuniting of the body with the spirit to never be separated again. The body itself becomes immortal as well once it is resurrected. Satan is an immortal spirit who, along with his followers who followed him in the pre-mortal life, will never receive a body. They cannot be killed. Immortal beings cannot die or be killed.

Earth has its own hell because evil exists upon it. Satan will not inherit the earth, but eventually will go away into outer darkness. Eventually this earth will be Christ's and will become a celestial sphere.

Satan must be pretty strong, since God did not destroy him when he rebelled.....and the rest sound like Greek mythology...

Strong, perhaps.

Scriptures like Job2;3 do have God saying that Satan moved him to destroy without cause and that is quite evil and a sin on God's part so this definitely shows a weak God.

Scriptures also say tat God gifted Satan with the power to deceive us all when banishing her so there definitely something strange going on that we are not told.

I called Satan her because Satan is depicted as female in the Vatican art.

All good questions that hopefully a Christian will answer.

And also, why gift Satan with the power to deceive us all?
