The Seahawks destroyed the Broncos 43-8 in Super Bowl XLVIII and linebacker Malcolm Smith won MVP honors with a Pick 6 and 10 tackles. The truly bizarre moment of the entire Super Bowl week came after the game during his press conference. A 9/11 truther stormed Smith’s podium, grabbed the microphone, and was actually able to get out, “investigate 9/11. 9/11 was perpetrated by people within our own government” before being hauled away.

Calls grow for more investigations on 9-11 events in US

Since the 9-11 attacks on the US, there have essentially been two camps: Those who believe the US government’s theories on what happened and those who don’t.

This weekend in Washington, the latter group met to expose what they say are lies and a cover-up surrounding the events of 9-11, starting with Michael Chertoff, the former US Secretary of Homeland Security under President George W. Bush.

A coalition of “9-11 truth” groups and others met to encourage investigative reporting, academic research and public education about 9-11 events and tell the public that they are NOT conspiracy theorists.
