See the rightmost section of your graph? The one labeled "Holocene"? That is the age of humans. If you want a world in which humans will do okay, you need to stay within that general range of temperatures and, more importantly, not exceed the historical rates of change for critical paramters. Note the rise in temperatures beginning at 0.15 thousand years before present.
