Left Wing dictators always create strawman foes to keep their people distracted from their misery.
There is a good chance that the whole assassination attempt was staged for propaganda.
However, the Venezuelans will have to use force to remove Maduro from power because he has totally corrupted their election system.

A common tactic for dictators and demagogues is to conjure up an outside enemy to rally support amongst his people, particularly when domestic issues are going poorly.

Maduro and Chavez have run Venezuela into the ground. It is the most incompetent government in Latin America. So they are making up stories about assassination attempts by right-wing extremists.

This will not end well. My guess is that the military will eventually have had enough and overthrow Maduro.

Take responsibility? Never. The postmodernist fueled American radical Left believes everything is open to an infinite number of interpretations. Thus, HRC's "petty" little treasons could be spun as heroic deeds of valor, with the "right" political philosopher in her corner. Fact and logic, truth and evident reality are antithesis to the radical Left's "open to interpretation" ideology for what constitutes politically a brighter American future. Literally, one cannot argue with someone who even when blatantly wrong, adapts their position so it becomes right and just in their worldview. Reasoning with, speaking to or opening a dialogue with the radical American Left will get the American people nowhere.
