My brother is 50% disabled and relies on the VA for his healthcare, its beyond incompetent the poor level of healthcare he receives. Its pretty much here take a pain pill.

The Fifth is there for a reason. it's the state that has to convict you, not yourself, or your spouse actually. One need not testify against themselves. It's a very old idea, and a good one.

No they shouldn't. They are entitled to the same Constitutional rights as anybody else.

Indeed. They have the right to exercise the 5th and refuse to answer when the answer would be construed as a confession to a crime.

They do not however, have any right, enumerated or otherwise, to a government job.
