Real Clear has a net pick up of 7 senate seats and all but IA are solid red states: WV, SD, NC, MT, LA, IA and AR. For a 52-48

However, there are very vulnerable incumbent Democrats and I think the Republicans take all 3:
(1) UT - Udall is vulnerable to Gardner, they are neck and neck in every poll with Gardner in the lead by a point. The mid-term will hurt Democratic turn out and their base might be too stoned to make it to the polls!
(2) AK - This is a red and Begich is only leading by a 1 or 2 in the poll to Sullivan. I predict an upset!
(3) MI - Latest polls is Peters leading by 1 pt. Black Democratic turn out in Detroit will be low, since they can't vote for this man Obama. I think Land pulls an upset.
That would be 55 Republican and 45 Democrats.


The house is also set to keep it's Republicans majority (and majority is all you need - since there are no filibusters).
