It is an interesting article in many areas, but perhaps the most exciting point made is that right-to-work creates an immediate huge decline in union membership when it gets rolled out:

'In Indiana, where a new right-to-work law took effect last March, the state lost about 56,000 union members. The law prohibits unions from requiring workers to pay union fees, even if they benefit from a collective bargaining agreement. Michigan lawmakers approved a similar measure in December.'

News from The Associated Press

Michigan is next. Ohio can't be far behind.

Let's roll!

The left fell in love with Unions and tried hard to promote membership. But as all things liberal exactly the opposite happen.

very good sign. People are wising up that they don't really need another paycheck deduction

They still are not doing anything about the unions that are actually far more damaging, public sector unions.

Without question. Public unions are the big prize.

Yay, we will create a couple more minimum wage jobs while the vast majority of workers will see their wages decline. Little by little we are destroying the middle class that made this the greatest country on earth.

What do ?right-to-work? laws do to a state?s economy?

You leftists are leading the way on that with your refusal to buy the products made by over-compensated Union workers.

I own GM cars. Unfortunately, not much else is union made anymore.

Hope they stay stocked up on replacement parts. Shipping might take a while from SA and China :)

Those states can expect lower wages and less benefits for their workers.

Why would anybody quit a union if that meant their wages would decline? If unions were such a Godsend, I'd think membership would be rising, not declining.

Union jobs are better paying jobs and consequently union workers pay more taxes than non-union workers.

Keep making American workers poorer and they'll not only pay less taxes, they'll also vote themselves more government assistance.

Careful what you wish for.

Good riddance :bye1:

Hooray for lower wages!

Man, someone should really let those workers know that they're making less money now by not paying union dues..
