If real life were a Twilight Zone episode or a Shyamalan movie, the twist ending would be that Attention-Hogg was the real shooter all along. I don't really think that in reality, but he keeps changing his stories so many times he's obviously a pathological LIAR. So I don't know what his specific role in this shooting was. Whatever his role was, he's certainly a vulture.
