Liberals love this phrase. Maybe I have a limited vocabulary, but I wasn't really sure what "fettered" meant. So I looked it up:

Any questions?

Yeah. Why do you think the super rich ought to have total unaccountable power over your life?

A free market is the target of any totalitarian regime, and why Marxism is so appealing to dictators.

Imagine how much power the state must have to not only monitor every financial transaction made, but to then redistribute the funds accordingly the way they think is "socially just". Such power requires 24/7 surveillance of every man, woman, and child with unlimited power to take from them what you think they should not have.

Unfettered means unrestrained or unlimited. Clearly that is not what capitalism is in this country, did you think otherwise?

I just wanted to provide a visual of what liberals want: fettered capitalism. People in chains.

Speaking of pictures of people in chains, prison is a liberal utopia.

1. Everything is provided "free" from taxpayers like free food, medical, cloths, shelter.

2. Everyone is treated the "same" and no one lives better than the other

3. Everyone is "safe" so long as they stay in their safe zone jail cell.

4. Every day is gay pride day.

5. There is no opportunity to make bad decisions, like eating junk food, polluting, destroying the environment, etc.

How odd that progressive liberals do not realize the alternatives to capitalism are far more restrictive. Capitalism is all about choice more than anything else, and any other economic model is more about govt's choice rather than your own. In capitalism you get to decide what you will buy among many options and how much you pay for it. Every other system has much fewer options and directly or indirectly the govt decides how much you pay.

We have a Commerce clause. Can't compete?

This is how stupid Democrats are.

You don't want businesses to have to compete for your business. Too risky, they would take advantage of you.

So you want government to eliminate competition and force us all to have the same thing.

Talk about "unaccountable."

The funny part being you proved the point that people use terms they don't understand.

Occupied: I want ONE choice, I don't want some unaccountable choice ...

Guns are legal, but that doesn't mean you can legally shoot people.

Cars are legal, but that doesn't mean you can legally drive into people.

Capitalism is not restricted, but that doesn't make fraud legal or mean you can violate contracts. There should be civil and criminal courts for fraud and contract enforcement. That isn't a limit on "capitalism" any more than not being able to shoot people is a restriction on owning guns or driving into people is a restriction on owning cars.

There should be no regulations that control businesses that have done nothing wrong. But sure, commit fraud and that's a crime. Breaking a contract is a tort

Surely you don’t mean that...
Can I buy a yacht and pay a nickel for it?
Can I even buy a pickle for a nickel?
And I don’t even want a pickle...

It's called President GW and caused a world wide depression.

That isn't one of your options. Duh. Options means there are a myriad of suppliers and you can work out your best deal.

Suppliers are under no more obligation than you in capitalism.

It's so sad how badly leftists don't know economics. The engine that made you rich compared to people all through history and across the world. And you just want socialism and poverty. It's pathetic

It really was the combination of Clinton and W who caused the great recession. It was Clinton's policies that were continued through W until the bubble burst

I don't. Spare me the strawman.
That's what "unfettered capitalism" is. An amoral system where the super rich are untouchable by the same system of laws that can easily cost you everything.

Quit confusing free enterprise with capitalism. They are not the same thing.
