Why do you want to blame this on women?

I once talked to a Somali woman about female circumcision. (99.9% of Somali girls have the procedure performed on them)

She said her father didn't want her and her sister to have the surgery. So her mother waited until he was at work one day, and took the daughter's to the doctor and had it done.

Like I said, it's the women who insist their daughters have the surgery. In fact, mother's who live in western countries, will schedule a vacation with their children and go back to their country of origin to visit relatives. And while there have the surgery performed.

Happens all of the time. ......

Have you looked at what non-Muslims are doing to women in North America?

Every day of the year 3 American women are murdered by their domestic partners. That's more than 1,000 per year. 23% of North American women are victims of domestic violence, and while that is the lowest percentage in the world, it still means that one woman in five is or has been abused by her partner. Nothing to toot your horn about.

So stop talking about all of the atrocities being committed by Muslims against women, and start looking at all of the beatings, murders and rapes of women right here at home, being perpetrated by non-Muslims.

We can't deport and keep out US citizens though... However we can do that to non US citizens. So that's why we don't discuss the crimes by US citizens because we already have a way to deal with them.

This thread isn't about immigration, it's about the US Resolution to end gender mutilation of women and girls in Africa. Posters in this thread keep talking about this as a "Muslim Attrocity". Gender mutilitation isn't a "Muslim" thing, it's an African custom. It's done by African tribes, not just Muslims, but non-Muslims as well.

Many posters here have been condemning this as Muslims mistreating women, but no nation is immune from the mistreatment of women, including the North American culture. 38,000,000 American women are victims of domestic violence. That's a lot of women.

So don't talk act all superior how ill-treated Muslim women are while you say nothing about how abuse and murder of Christian women in the US by their domestic partners.

Her grandmother summoned the tribal chief and he came in and mutilated her. The grandmother held her down screaming while he hacked off her clitorus, and both inner and outer labia. Then they roughly sewed her up leaving just a small opening for her to urinate. She was a very small girl at the time. They basically fucked up her life. As an adult she left the religion. I will try to remember her name.
