This always seemed obvious. Any mystery was how Colorado arrived at such a decision. Trump should not be on the ballot because he is not worthy of being President, but the means to deal with that are to present a more desirable alternative. Unfortunately, the "D" half of the duopoly isn't making much effort to do that and Americans can't get it up to vote other than duopoly. Very frustrating to watch for those of us who have fading hopes for the nation.

The Opinion was no surprise given the Justice's skepticism during oral arguments. The opinion does not delve into the issue of whether Trump committed insurrection, but only whether the state has a right to remove any federal office holder from the ballot under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. The Court says the States do not have that right. That right resides in the federal system. I can't say that I disagree with them
