The Obama administration sent tons of corn so that Chavez can process it in his new Iranian equiped, "socialist", corn-processing plants. Why?

Because 100 years of high corn subsidies have made it so that the United States has corn coming out of its ears. How do you think the concept of popcorn came about, and more recently ethanol? There's so much corn in the US that it's used in almost every type of food processing. It's everywhere. There's so much of it you guys don't even know what to do with it.

In theory, it's not a bad idea to donate it, but of course, Chavez being the pompous asshole he is, just HAS to turn it back to fuel his self-important international posturing.

    So what?

We've given foreign aid to Saudi Arabia and they actually physically attacked us.

Fifteen of the 19 hijackers were Saudi citizens.

Maybe if some of that foreign aid we sent the Saudis went into keeping their lunatic fringe on a short leash instead of new yachts and palaces for the royal family, the attacks of 9/11may never have happened.

    Neither did Iraq.

And yet here we are, 10 years and a trillion dollars later.

Well, they kinda do. That's why they gotta operate out of places like Yemen, Somalia, and Afghanistan. Not to defend the brutal, fundamentalist Saudi regime though.
