Sounds like a joke. The Four Chaplains will forever live in history.

On Feb. 3, 1943, at 12:55 a.m., German submarine U-223 torpedoed the "Dorchester" off the coast of Newfoundland. In total disregard for their personal safety, these four military chaplains (2 ministers, a rabbi and a priest) sacrificed their own lives to save the lives of their fellow service members during WWII.

Four Chaplains Day

I saw Saving Private Ryan and there was a priest on the beach of D-Day giving Last Rites to dying soldiers while bullets were whizzing by and bombs were going off all around him.

Can you imagine what kind of man could do that?

Well since it a movie, I imagine almost any actor could pull it off as there were few if any lines.

The movie was based on fact.

Medics were basically in the same boat. Hats off to them all.
