Zone1 Two Classic Movies Are Getting “Diverse” Remakes That No One Wants

The classic movies ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ and ‘The Wizard of Oz’ are about to get remade for the sake of “diversity” according to a director and writer currently working on the scripts.

Variety reports that Kenya Barris, creator of the show ‘Black-ish’, wants to give the 1939 Judy Garland tale, as well as the 1946 Jimmy Stewart Christmas classic, a makeover which will involve telling the stories from a “different point of a view,” with “diverse characters.”

They already did the black Wizard of Oz in 1978. These woke culture creators of today have zero originality. They are a parasitic culture that feeds of the host culture.

Both movies have gotten numerous remakes and reimaginings.

The world didn't come to an end.

As for Oz, that's in the Public Domain now, they could make a porno version of it. They could make a horror version of it where the Tin Man becomes an Ax murderer, and the Cowardly Lion eats Dorothy.

It what it signifies: favoritism toward blacks. THAT is racist.

Walking into Target and seeing 30 posters, 25 of whom are black, tells me that Target management is making race-based decisions to exclude whites from their advertising models.

Same thing when I get MACY’s flyers, and without exception each one features a black woman, or a black family, on the cover. Then you open up and see group shots of blacks, and a two-page spread showing blacks with the title “MACY’s Teams Up With Black Designers.”
..Lisa, still freaking out about pictures at a mall, except she's changed her story and it's Target this time.

If this is really the case, you must be shopping at places with a high black demographic. Most white people shop on line these days.

Blacks are clearly now the favored race, and you don’t get rid of racism by targeting it against a different race. And you sure as hell don’t get rid of it by targeting a different persecuted minority - the Jews - and refusing to condemn calls for their genocide. And you don’t get rid of it by proudly announcing that no whites will be considered for the opening on the SCOTUS, or for the VP, or for the Press Secretaries.

I suspect that if you were black for a week, you wouldn't feel so 'favored".

As for the Zionists, they are hated because they are committing genocide against the Palestinians.

If you libs keep insisting that skin color is the priority rather than merit, one of these days someone is going to forget to bolt the door to the plane.

Except a black person didn't "forget the bolt".

And planes have been crashing long before DEI policies were instituted.

Race-swapping and to a lesser degree gender-swapping a character is fine, if it is done right.

For instance, 10 years ago, this new series premiered on CBS Called "Elementary". It put Sherlock Holmes in modern New York and made Dr. Watson an Asian-American woman. (They had kind of a convoluted explanation of why an Asian woman would be named Watson, but that's another story.) They also made Moriarity into a woman. (Or at least one version, the show had three "Moriarity" stand-ins.)

I initially didn't think I was going to like it because I thought they made too many changes (such as reimagining Holmes' drug use as addiction treatment twaddle), and because frankly, up to that point, I didn't think Lucy Lui was that good of an actress.

What made the show work was great chemistry with the cast, sharp writing that respected the source material.

Would Sir Arthur Conan Doyle be horrified? Maybe. Then again, he hated Sherlock Holmes and would be horrified. That's what he's remembered today.

Given the vast majority of American women look more like the above pictures than swimsuit models, not sure what you are complaining about.
Isn’t that fact alone a valid reason to complain?

There is a serious health crisis in America. Normalizing obesity is bad for the individual and society.

Unless you're an investor, butt out.

Apparently they just refer to the framework of intersectionality and default to remaking things with actors who’s demographics have more social privilege.
(1) Like millions of other Americans of all ethnicities, I shall say nothing about these proposed remakes.

(2) I do, however, want to congratulate you on your very clever and humorous montage.

(3) Amidst all my personal problems and the sickening world news, I really needed a chuckle.

I’m actually thinking of watching it. I am curious about how the plot twist of Juliet being ugly will play out.

Great. What's the problem?
