Well those greedy bastards at Dish are too cheap to pay Turner Broadcasting for TCM, CNN, and half a dozen other Turner channels, so Turner yanked all their stations from Dish yesterday. TCM is 40% of the reason I subscribed to Dish in the first place. I'm not counting on any reduction in subscription fees. I think I'll cancel. I hardly ever watch TV anyway. It's phuck the consumer time again, cheeren.

TCM's great. Just caught the '62 "Flipper" yesterday on it. Grew up with the series and credit it with my love of the ocean.

Can see Dish forgoing things like Weather Channel (going mostly reality show instead of actual weather information like when it began) but CNN? That seems odd.

Such disputes aren't uncommon with cable and satelite providers.

The providers yank whomever doesn't like the costs they're proposing, they continue to negotiate and eventually settle their spat. Meanwhile, the consumers who like watching whateverr programs are involved do without.

Doesn't sound like Customer Service 101 to me, but that's how it usually goes.
