Woman have a much higher pain tolerance built in, because of the pain of child birth.
And modern weapons do not require great strength.
So I think women likely do well in combat normally.
If there is a concern, it may be that having a woman at risk might somehow diminish the performance of men in some way?

She is a Major in the Hawaii National Guard and got where she is there because she was elected to Congress. Her two tours in Iraq and Kuwait were particularly unremarkable, the first of which was while she was a medical paper-pusher and the last as an MP.

I tried getting that across to my Niece, every time she comes home for holidays. She is now a Major in the U.S. Army, and a doctor. I told her that no matter what your job is, you're still a soldier. And it's a soldiers job to kill the enemy, if need be.
