Trump's RNC Speech

What as the #1 thing you had a problem with or disagreed with?

(Please only specify ONE you disagreed with most).
He didn't call out the cops for what they do. Instead, he basically sided with them, condoned what they do, and totally forgot about the pain, misery, and needless deaths they've caused. He failed to mention the riots and protests that resulted form barbaric and animalistic acts done by cops. He failed to mention the multi-$Millions paid out to settle cases of cop abuse of power and authority. He failed to mention that it's taxpayers' money that's settling those cases. He failed to mention the lack of justice concerning those cases. In other words, according to his speech ( reading between the lines ), he's fine with cops continuing what they're doing, and basically offered to help them continue doing it.

One of the biggest problem in this country is the total lack of justice in our judicial system. And, cops are a prime example of the injustices.

Nope, the problem is that many in this country feel entitled. Even to break the law. Are cops perfect? Nope. Do they make mistakes. Yup.

Rail all you want, without them protecting us, we would be sitting ducks to those that wish to do us harm.
FYI - Cops break the same laws that they claim to enforce.

EXAMPLES:

Murder
Rape
Molestation
Spousal abuse
Theft
Brutality ( assault )
Speeding
Perjury
Accepting bribes
Dealing illegal drugs
Blackmail
Destruction of property
Animal abuse
Reckless driving
Running red lights and stop signs

How many cops are in our prisons and jails? How many stand trial for breaking the law? How many are given a free pass by our judicial system? How many $Millions of taxpayers' hard earn dollars are paid out to settle law suits to cover wrong-doing by cops? How many riots and protests are the direct results of cops abusing their power and authority?

Why don't cops police their own profession? Why are cops held to a different standard?
99% of cops are sorry low-life pieces of shit, and the headlines, videos, and stories prove it.

That is true too of politicians
Used to be athletes and celebrities, but less so now.

Look what Hillary is getting away with.

I do not have the statistics on hand on whether police violence is increasing or by what percentages.
There is no excuse for it, but like everything in life, nothing will ever be "perfect".
Police are under a lot of stress, don't get paid that well, can't be "too aggressive" but can't be "too passive".
Understanding what they endure and more strict personality tests I believe are in order

What Hillary is getting away with? Nobody is smart enough to do all the things she has been accused of over the decades without a single indictment. The crazies are just disappointed that their lies didn't work. She hasn't gotten away with anything. Why don't you look at the fact checks for trump's speech last night?
Fact-Check: How Did Trump's Claims Hold Up?
Hillary is Lucy. the Conservative crazies are Charlie Brown. And the football is Benghazi, e-mails, and all the other trumped up scandals.

What's the bigger problem right now?
Violence BY police? or Violence AGAINST police?
Violence by police cause violence against police. So, it's obvious that cops are bringing it on themselves.
But, the biggest problem concerning that issue, is the total lack of justice. Cops are not held to the same standards as everyone else. If cops had to stand trial for what they do, then we'd see less riots and protests, and less assaults on police officers. Just common sense.

Using your theory, then blacks committing violent acts against other blacks is justification to look the other way when it happens.

The blind will never see
So silly and stupid............... really pathetic......... to say the least ......

ANY VIOLENCE should be prosecuted, period. ALL VIOLENCE is wrong, regardless of race, religion, nationality, social status, fame, or gender.

Try again, you failed miserably trying to twist what I said to mean something entirely different. Also, I have NO theory buckwheat.

Yes, and thanks for asking.

SOLUTION:

Hold everyone to the same standards, period. Prosecute crime regardless of who commits it. Make our judicial system one of true justice. Remove corruption and favoritism from our judicial system, and hold everyone accountable for their actions, regardless of who they are, or what profession they're in.

I agree.
If Trump means what he says, all laws will be enforced equally.
No exceptions

you don't understand the purpose of the cop, and that's your problem. Cops are to protect innocent people, those who threaten innocent people are targeted by police. That is their job. Would you do it? Great to see that behind your keyboard, your so strong. The guy going into an armpit of society and expected to go in everyday is the cop. I know in Chicago, neighbors are afraid to go out on their front porches, but there's the cops going in and trying to protect them. yep, your keyboard is quite the guard for you. Thank gawd for the internet so you can stand behind your guard and bitch.

Rail all you want, without them protecting us, we would be sitting ducks to those that wish to do us harm.

I would only differ from your point of view on one thing, and that's about being a sitting duck.

Many of us would get along fine without police. We can protect ourselves, and in some cases police have turned situations of self defense into criminal cases because of politics.

However I do agree that they do have a more positive impact on society than a negative, but it is because we still precariously cling to the aspect of our culture where Americans are self reliant and resourceful. We still have plenty of people who can take care of themselves, respect the law and also have an awareness of our rights.

Cops do make mistakes, but individuals also make mistakes when they're bigots and hate the cop who's just trying to do a job most of us want them to do.

I've had more than my share of police interactions but it was ALWAYS because of something I did, knowingly or not, intentionally or not, but never because they just wanted to fuck with me. Even the couple times when I was a teenager and thought they were just fucking with me, in retrospect I understood their motivation.

They do make mistakes like everyone else, but all you have to do is remain respectful.

That said I do believe that citizens have the right to defend themselves even from police. If you're talking about a bad entry, mistaken raid, or rogue cop you should have the means to resist but the system protects it's tentacles and like it or not police are the suction cups. This isn't soviet russia yet unless hitlery wins.

Overall, I thought Trump did well even though I was hoping he would fail

He did come off as presidential while he was reading off the teleprompter and was obviously well rehearsed in his tone, gesturing and facial expressions. When he went off teleprompter he reverted to Donald McGoofyface and was distracting

He could have used some editing as he was not dynamic enough to carry a speech of that length

He should have mixed in some light hearted anecdotes to show some wit and charm

He avoided most of the things that make him Trump and did not get into outright lies and conspiracy theories

I would give him an A-

then why do we call 911 and ask for them? Why do 911 dispatchers tell the caller not to do anything until the police arrive? honestly, the crap that comes from libs is unreal. Why do they pull someone over who is impaired? you don't think it's to protect? Why do they write it on the side of their vehicles 'protect and serve'?
