Has he offered one specific as to how he will achieve this miracle? Did Obama achieve any of his promises to reform government? Did he do ANYTHING to try to achieve that goal? Nothing I can recall, except his failed attempt to appoint three Republicans to his cabinet, a gesture which Sen. Judd Gregg and the Republican establishment threw back in his face.
We the people have to reform government. We can only do so through the management of the stupid and ignorant. Is there anyone who is addressing this real problem? Well, I don't know what "reform government" means to you -- e.g., do you mean things that are explicty reforms of the way government operates and things like campaign reform, or do you mean reforms of a more general nature that are enacted by the government, such as consumer protection reforms -- but I'd say that Mr. Obama did implement some of the government reforms he promised to effect.

The GOP want to repeal the ACA. I can live with both, I'd rather they repeal this one first. I'm okay with my healthcare costs and coverage; I was okay with it before the ACA too. This piece of legislation is a fine example of what ticks me off about the GOP...they want to kill off the ACA, which though it has resulted in my healthcare insurance costing a little bit more (not to me directly, no less, but to the firm that pays the premium), costs me nowhere near as much out of pocket as this provision does, but they haven't said a peep about repealing this law. That's the "silly sh*t" Republicans do...sweat the pennies, but ignore the dollars.
Most odious about this provision is the Medicare surcharge on capital gains. (See attachment) Medicare tax on Capital gains!?! WTF do capital gains have to do with Medicare? Even ignoring the money itself, the rationale of drawing/forcing a correlation between merely selling an asset and paying Medicare tax on the gain is just nuts!!! On this aspect of the tax revision, the concept and principle piss me off more than does paying the money. At the end of the day, yes, one is paying tax on income earned, so it's not as though one lacks the money to pay the tax such as may be the case with excise taxes.

Obama’s hard lessons
Obama promised systemic change. To say the least, he failed. He has been a divisive figure, through his weaknesses and failures. He has always mouthed the language of bi-partisanship, but he hates Washington. He never socialized or tried to manipulate congress ala LBJ. He just shrugged and blamed McConnell and Bohner. Those two bear a lot of the blame, but neither of them was the president. They at least were honest obstructionists. Obama was a dishonest reformer.
