Trump Wants To Take Away Former Intelligence Agency Employees Security Clearances

Trump is only doing this to his political opponents,
All the names on the list are criminal ex-Obama administration co-conspirators who have been proven to have broken laws and engaged in Obama's orchestrated conspiracy to control the outcome of an election.

Brennan - Proven Perjury
Comey - Obstruction, Perjury
Clapper - Perjury
Rice - Obstruction, Perjury
McCabe - Already recommended for indictment by the US IG

Obama is missing from this list but should be on it
Hillary is missing from this list but should be on it
Strzok is missing from this list but should be on it
Mueller is missing from this list but should be on it
Rosenstein is missing from this list but should be on it

ALL the people on that list have worked for Democrats AND Republicans.

If they can't keep their mouths shut they should lose their clearance and it's a stretch for the OP to say Trump wants to take away their first amendment rights. That's ridiculous but then look who is saying it.

There are people with Security Clearances on Fox network who use their positions to make money there... but they aren't on Trump's list. THAT'S why it is a First Amendment issue.

Trump is only doing this to his political opponents, NOT ALL people with former positions and Security Clearances that are making money from it.
I can find nothing that supports that claim. However if that is the case, it would not be a knock on Fox News it would indicate that there is a systemic problem with DSS and possibly the former employers of people retaining active clearances after they have left.

What? Are you trying to say you don't know that Fox News has former Federal employees including former high level military people that work on their network as analyst and experts who give their opinion on matters all the time?

Giving opinions does not require a security clearance.

Cool, then Trump should simply take them away from ALL former employees with the security clearances and not just use this idea to take only a few people who he sees as his enemies. :)

Sooo he wants to take away the 1st Amendment rights of former federal employees to be able to talk about their life experiences because he doesn't like what they have to say. His excuses is they are making money off of it and that what they are saying is lies.

So a couple of things here... Almost EVERY former higher up federal employee have done interviews, done speeches, and written books after their retirement. That includes former Presidents. Why is Trump picking on ONLY people saying bad things about him? Shouldn't this be a universal decision to take it away from ALL FORMER federal employees?

The second and largest thing is, they are using the excuse that it is inappropriate to criticize Trump because of their former position and that they are doing so without any evidence. Well then does Trump want them to instead go on air and tell the truth and all the stuff they know whether it is Top Secret information? What a chicken shit thing for the White House to say... "You can't criticize the President about something you aren't showing proof of" when they KNOW that they can't share the Top Secret information they DO KNOW.
Talking away clearances doesn't end a persons 1st Amendment rights and talking about classified material to people without the appropriate security clearance is illegal.

So, the vindictive thin-skinned treasonous traitor baby wants to attack America's true patriots. I'm sure his demented base loves it. Not surprising...

Absolutely hilarious.

The reason these people keep those clearances is so the US can maintain a pool of expertise in case of some attack or something unexpected these people might have experience with.

But that's not why it's hilarious.

You have a$$wipes like Jared Kushner with top secret clearances.

Obama never took Flynn's clearance away.

Trump says these people say bad things. Like Obama was born in Kenya. And Obama tapped phones.

Oh wait, that was Trump.

Or someone might give classified material away to the Russians, the way Trump did.

The most corrupt and hypocritical president in the history of the United States and still his base just loves him to death.

-------------------------------------------------- i think that TRUMP MAY want to take away the azzwipes Security Clearances from 'mrobamas' boys and one 'bush boy' hayden . Course the azzwipes will stll be able to continue to speak . And ALL should lose their Sec. Clearances after their boss is defeated or they leave Government work Lew .

A TS (Top Secret) is only good for 5 years before one has to renew, a Secret is 10 years and a Confidential last 15 years. Once someone retires or leaves for any legitimate reason the clearance is allowed to lapse, if someone is fired the clearance is pulled immediately.
Here's the kicker, clearances are not cheap and someone has to be willing to pay to renew if one no longer works in the intelligence field and only then if the person being renewed shows a valid reason as to why.
Also Secret is basically handed out like candy, Confidential like bags of candy, in this day and age they're bull shit clearances.
So it's now obvious both you and Frump are playing politics with this issue. Why am I not surprised.......

Are you paying attention?

All Trump had to do was come out and say he was going to get rid of the policy to allow those that leave the Federal government to keep their security clearances. By him singling out only certain ones is the point. His use of this issue to put out their names, and then try to use it to discredit their free speech is the point.

Huh? This is in current events where I put it.

Wait, so Ringel05 now you have an issue with me? I thought we were joking around the other day. I just like to know who my enemies are. :)

Yeah I'm paying attention..... To both side's bull shit.

He ought to be PISSED. I think it is safe to say we are going to hear from the other 5 or 6 people Trump threatened to take away clearances from. Clapper is showing great restraint, I might add.

In the meantime JARED and Princess get to keep theirs? We're through the looking glass folks.

James Clapper slams Trump for threatening to revoke his security clearance: ‘This is a petty way of retribution’

security clearances.

During Monday’s press briefing, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said: “Not only is the president looking to take away [Former CIA Director John] Brennan’s security clearance, he’s also looking into the clearances of Comey, Clapper, Hayden, Rice and McCabe.”
Clapper said the President Trump was abusing his presidential powers.

“Well, it’s interesting news,” Clapper said. “I’m reading it and learning about it just as you are. I think it’s off the top of my head a sad commentary. For political reasons this is a petty way of retribution. I suppose for speaking out against the president, which I think about the part of all of us, are borne out of genuine concerns about President Trump.”

He continued: “The security clearance has nothing to do with how I or any of us feel about the president. I don’t get the briefing. I don’t have access to classified information. It’s frankly more of a courtesy that former senior officials get the security clearance. Haven’t had a case of using it. Has no bearing on my regard or lack thereof for President Trump or what he’s doing,” Clapper said....

You know, I held a Top Secret clearance while I was in the Navy, and I needed it for my job. When I was retired from the military, they gave me a bunch of non disclosure paperwork and told me that my security clearance was now void due to my retirement.

It said in the OP's link, at the end, that high level personnel generally keep their clearances so they can consult with their replacements on a pro bono basis.

Personally? If you are no longer in the job, you no longer need the clearance.

And, I say that, knowing that most on here consider me to be a "liberal".
