Trump slams CNN International — and journalists fire back

Bullshit. Everybody, and that's over 40 countries in Europe, the ME, Asia and Africa that I've been to, everyone carries BBC as well. Some have Fox, but not most. Why? Because outside the US, Fox is considered a joke. I've watched Al Jazeera, France 24, RT (from Russia), Sky News, BBC World, and others. Only Fox has a biased, obviously favorable presentation of Trump.

Yeah, Europeans would take one look at Hannity, Fox-n-Friends or Judge Jeanine and bust into uncontrollable laughter ;)

it doesn't matter what CNN does abroad anyhow. A bunch of socialist countries and dictatorships don't get to vote or have a say in the USA.
Clinton got 3 million more votes than the Orange Rapist
We have an electoral system. The Warriors shot more three pointers but they still lost the other night. The Giants ran more yards but they too lost.

You know why? Because that isn't how the game is won.

Keep whining?

Would you STFU about your worldliness. I've lived outside the US for 45 years yet don't go on about it. You are nothing but a whiny expat, and for those of us who have spent a lot of time overseas, there is little else more annoying.

Or perhaps Hannity might say the truth about their govt.'s that would make them feel very uncomfortable.

CNN Int. is a really boring network. It is suited to International business travelers with exciting shows like Golf Today and endless business reports and of course Headline News every 10 minutes by people with weird accents.

I think they find it rather appalling that a news agency could be so biased. Fox treated Obama very badly, whereas he was, and is, very popular around the world.

CNN is the de facto propaganda machine for the globalists, un-Americans, and progressives.

Of course they throw a fit whenever they are called out.

Indeed the snowflakes that call themselves journalists should man up.
They sure can hurl insults at Republicans and President Trump, but as soon as someone insults them, they act like petulant children.

You are just laughable. Extremely provincial.

CNN reminds me of the musicians on the Titanic that continued to play the same music even though the ship had hit an iceberg.

At this time it's only a matter of when and not if CNN will be bought out and overhauled. It's truly sad to see what used to be a great cable news organization end up where it is today.

Cable Network Ranker: Week of Oct. 16

Fox News continues to lead the race for basic cable ratings supremacy across total day.

FNC ranked No. 1 in total day viewers for the sixth consecutive week, per Nielsen, and finished No. 4 in total prime time viewers for the second consecutive week. The cable news juggernaut finished behind ALCS-focused Fox Sports 1 (Yankees-Astros) and NLCS-focused TBS (Dodgers-Cubs), as well football-focused ESPN.

Basic Cable Top 5 – Prime time (Total Viewers)

  1. Fox Sports 1 (3,952,000)
  2. TBS (2,663,000)
  3. ESPN (2,164,000)
  4. Fox News (1,764,000)
  5. TNT (1,565,000)
Basic Cable Top 5 – Total Day (Total Viewers)

  1. Fox News (1,329,000)
  2. Nickelodeon (1,007,000)
  3. MSNBC (889,000)
  4. ESPN (884,000)
  5. Fox Sports 1 (883,000)
For the week of October 16, FNC programs made up four of the top 20 basic cable telecasts in total viewers, including various presentations of Hannity and Tucker Carlson Tonight. The Wednesday episode of Hannity was the most-watched cable news telecast of the week, and finished No. 16 across all of basic cable in total viewers?

Speaking of MSNBC, the network finished No. 6 in total prime time viewers, and No. 3 in total day viewers across basic cable this past week.

CNN ranked No. 16 in total prime time viewers and No. 11 total day viewers across basic cable this past week.

OUCH!

I have traveled and lived far more abroad than the hotel clean up maid that you probably are.

Most of these countries practice some form of censorship or another, and FOX just won't tow their line like the crooked CNN does. When CNN falls however, things will be different.

I have a cousin living in France - she and her family went to Washington DC last summer and watched some Fox News in their hotel room.

She thought it was satire at first, got addicted and LoL'd mightily. The French definitely despise The Donald.

The same France that is under martial law due to mass Islamic migration?

It isn't martial law. Macron is simply extending a 'state of emergency' :

"Last Thursday, France’s parliament voted to extend the country’s national state of emergency for the sixth time, leaving in place what has been its longest uninterrupted state of emergency since the Algerian War of the 1960s."

It is a response to terrorism. It is the way France deals with things. I was in France for 2 months in 2015. There is no martial like you are thinking. It is just a normal life. When France declares a state of emergency because of terrorism it is comparable to the US having the Patriot Act. It is comparable to the US spying on people they are concerned might be terrorists or linked to terrorism.

"Martial law is the imposition of direct military control of normal civilian functions of government, especially in response to a temporary emergency such as invasion or major disaster, or in an occupied territory. Martial law can be used by governments to enforce their rule over the public."

As I said, I stayed there for two months in 2015. The military had not taken over, there were no curfews, everything was normal, but the state of emergency was in force them. What it is meant to do is have the military take over civilian policing if there is a need. They stand at the ready.

France is not overrun by immigrants, though some ignorant provincials, i.e. RW nutjobs, in the US like to think so. I've been there many times over the past 14 years and have spent three entire summers there as well as winter vacations.

Everything is normal there. You are more likely to be the victim of an American made, white male, mass shooter at the mall, school, or cinema in the US than you are to be a victim of terrorism in France.

I have lived and worked abroad for 14 straight years w/o interruption. I am a professional. You have no need to insult me because you disagree with me. I can't imagine that you have traveled much based on what you write. But what I do is not simple traveling. I live and work abroad. 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for over 14 years. In four different countries and traveling extensively as I had 13 weeks of vacation each year.

You don't know much of anything about countries outside the US; that is clear. Where there is Fox, it is not censored. It isn't in many countries because people don't like it; they can see what a joke it is.

Oh, please. While I am not going to defend Trump's childish antics I am not even going to pretend to feel slightly bad for the media. These so called "journalists" these days have been pushing their own agendas, manipulating the public, and unnecessarily stirring shit up for decades now. Real journalism has been dead for a good 30 years or so. It's kind of refreshing to see somebody finally throw their own shit right back at them.

Sorry but we are seeing GREAT journalism from a lot of super-bright, hard working young people over at NYT, WaPo, and NBC.

Great journalism is BACK .. bigly!

CNN is crap and tries to peddle itself abroad as the US news source. They even let Trump know that he had better be mindful of CNN's ability to shape opinion abroad. This is what CNN's president Jeff Zucker had to say:

"One of the things I think this administration hasn't figured out yet is that there's only one television network that is seen in Beijing, Moscow, Seoul, Tokyo, Pyongyang, Baghdad, Tehran, and Damascus — and that's CNN. The perception of Donald Trump in capitals around the world is shaped, in many ways, by CNN. Continuing to have an adversarial relationship with that network is a mistake."

Analysis | One problem with CNN’s defense against Trump’s latest attack

Sounds like CNN is threatening Trump.

It must be true because it was published in the Washington Post .... too fking funny.

.

Fuck CNN. In the 1990's they got the nickname "Clinton news network" for a reason.

Exactly

Crap News Network is another name....

or

The truth is that Crap News Network aka CNN has no credibility left any more, it is only a propaganda machine for the left and the Globlalists.

CNN has become totally and absolutely irrelevant.

The version you see domestically is not the same as what is broadcasted overseas, dufus. They carry some of the same flagship programs but most of the journalists are different. Like I said you haven't been overseas to see it.

You are mistaken - Tune in around 2 AM on a Saturday morning. I have also streamed it - straight NEWS
Yes, but overall most of the programming and the newscasters are different. However, it's the same fake shit, different newscaster.

CNN is in the back pocket of the Democrat party. But it's more than just that, there are other more sinister forces such as Soros behind their crusade as well. That's why they can withstand the ratings free fall. Like I said this will all change in 2018 when the Left's agenda will once again collapse.

What a f*cking IDIOT we elected. What happens when murderous autocrat and Trump buddy Erdogan in Turkey sees something from a reporter there that he doesn't like? "Well Trump said that guy sucks so i tossed him in prison" (or worse). Don't miss Christine Amanpour's reaction. Her camerawoman took a bullet to the face in Bosnia. You're a sad little man Donald. :(

President Trump's latest broadside against CNN is drawing ire from journalists who say he misunderstands the very purpose of news coverage.

"This is another way that Trump recklessly hurts us in the world," said Baltimore Sun media critic David Zurawik on CNN's "Reliable Sources" Sunday.

A day earlier, Trump took aim at a new target: the network's international programming. His evening tweet tarred CNN International while also boosting Fox News, the president's favored organization.

"Fox News is MUCH more important in the United States than CNN, but outside of the U.S., CNN International is still a major source of (Fake) news, and they represent our Nation to the WORLD very poorly," the president said. "The outside world does not see the truth from them!"

A few minutes later, CNN's public relations department fired back: "It's not CNN's job to represent the U.S to the world. That's yours. Our job is to report the news."

The tweet included the hashtag #FactsFirst, which is part of an ongoing marketing campaign by the network. It also amassed more than twice as many retweets and likes as the original critique.

CNN International is carried by satellite and cable distributors around the world. Most of its audience is outside the U.S.

Trump slams CNN International — and journalists fire back
It's obvious that you haven't traveled much outside of the US, where CNN has free hand to spread the same fake news, bullshit and lies it does domestically.
I have traveled outside the US continuously, without interruption, for the past 14 years. CNN does not spread false news. Trump is lying. He is angry at CNN because they give honest news about him, even if it is critical. Trump is against the free press. He is anti-American and wants to be a totalitarian dictator.
Yeah? What is CNN doing different abroad that it dies domesticallyy? Nothing. only difference is in many countries like Spain and France, CNN is the only American news channel their cable companies carry. Censorship is alive and well.
Bullshit. Everybody, and that's over 40 countries in Europe, the ME, Asia and Africa that I've been to, everyone carries BBC as well. Some have Fox, but not most. Why? So to recap, Al Jazeera, RT (Russia News) and CNN are NOT considered "jokes" overseas, but...FOX is?!

Ha ha ha ha!

No more questions your honor, I rest my case,
