What seems odd about this is just a few days ago, it was claimed the military accidentally released hack codes or something like that and then just a few days later that RANSOM" ware event took place now we have Trump doing this grid ordeal. Makes yah wonder if that grid isn't next.

We have a weak grid whether some want to believe it or not. Grid meaning the security protection.

Interview with a "Good Hacker" this a.m. on the news. He was asked why we can't just trace the $ being paid to free the computers and find the wrong-doers that way. He explained that Bit Coin is almost impossible to trace. Even for smart hackers working for the government.
I'VE GOT AN IDEA. GET RID OF BIT COIN. If you can't trace where the money is going, and that interferes with serious crime on the internet, make it illegal. What is so hard about that?

Anyway, yes it's about time we got serious about the EMP threat, local utilities should already be prepping for the possibility (the ones up here did). First priority is the gen lines from the power plants to the military bases, then we can worry about cities - they're worst off. Final phase for the rural cause they can typically hang a week or more without (especially if the cities are still online to deliver food stuffs.)
