At last night's debate and in reference to the Access Hollywood tape, Trump said, "I didn't even apologize to my wife who is sitting right here because I didn't do anything. I didn't know any of these women."

In her interview with Anderson Cooper, Melania Trump said, "He apologized. I accept his apology."

In light of those two contradictory remarks,
  • Did Trump apologize to his wife?
  • Was his wife the recipient of an apology or wasn't she?
  • When he offered his so-called apology on television, was his wife included among the people to whom he apologized or was she not?
    • If she was, by what measure did he not apologize to her?
    • If she was not, then just what apology is it that she accepts?
Seems to me that either Mrs. Trump lied or Donald threw his wife "under the bus." I don't know which of those things is true, but one of them has to be.
