Trump lies shamelessly about his tax-cut plan.

It will benefit anyone that pays the taxes that fund such programs. Many that aren't rich pay the taxes that do so.

Life wouldn't be tougher on poor people. They would either have to start doing what they should be doing for themselves, the basics of life, or they can find all you bleeding hearts that claim you care so much for them. You would get a chance to prove your claimed compassion. That means if they suffer it's on all of you that say you care and think supporting the government forcing others to fund it means you actually did something.

No it will not.

Maybe you think everyone gets a nice fat inheritance? lol

Not everyone does. If they do they shouldn't have to pay taxes on it so some freeloader can be enabled to be a freeloader.

Oh yes tell us all about the not-enabled, self-made inheritors, who's struggles we need to prioritize in our budget planning.

jesus_facepalm.jpg

Tell us about the freeloaders that won't do a damn thing to even provide the basics of life to themselves

I did - trust fund babies on daddy's allowance that don't have to work a day in their life. And unlike some welfare mooches living a shitty life with many incentives to step up, THEY ARE ALREADY RICH.

That doesn't make them freeloaders. It makes people like you jealous.

If the person that gave them that money chose to do so, it doesn't mean that the person the giver didn't give to should get a dime of anything to do with it.

He's a really smart guy mmmm kay. His tax plan is going to be the bested tax plan ever.

Someone not willing to do even the basics for themselves should go without.
Yes, Yes. We all know how you like to rail against the people who are poor, because, and only because of their laziness and lack of good moral character. However, that does not have a damned think to do with Trumps tax proposal. What he is put on the table is a plan that will not only hurt the poor -many of who do work- but also the middle income folks . It is nothing more than a smokescreen for a big giveaway to the wealthy.

And consider this:

This tax cut isn’t for the middle class, which only pays 2.5% now

Today, most Americans aren’t clamoring for lower taxes, probably because most of us don’t pay very much in federal income taxes. Our tax burden has rarely been lower. The latest data show that the 60% of families in the middle of the income distribution — those between about $32,000 and about $140,000 — pay an average of just 2.5% of their income in federal income taxes.

And this:

Nearly half of Americans owe no federal income tax at all, but they do pay taxes: payroll taxes to fund Social Security and Medicare, tariffs, excise taxes, corporate taxes, property taxes, sales taxes, state and local income taxes, and so on. If they have a problem with taxes, it’s not with the federal income tax.

And that has to include many who are not poor

A bill that cuts federal income taxes for middle-class families makes absolutely no sense, except as a sad way of camouflaging the real intent of the bill: Giving millions of dollars to the very wealthy, who happen to be the only people who are really benefiting from our uneven economic growth.

Here is more for you to chew on:

Trump's Tax Plan Is An Act Of Political Domination By The Rich | HuffPost

Trump wants a massive tax cut for the very wealthy. He doesn’t really care how much it costs, or what it will do to the federal budget deficit, or to economic growth or to worker productivity. He isn’t even very picky about how, exactly, taxes for the rich are reduced, so long as they are diminished by a very large amount.

GOP tax plan favors the richest, analysis shows

The new GOP tax framework would spread tax cuts across all income groups, with the richest Americans seeing the biggest windfall.
  • And, if enacted, the package would blow a $2.4 trillion hole in the federal budget.
  • That's the finding of an analysis by the Tax Policy Center, which crunched the numbers to come up with a preliminary estimate of the plan's costs and beneficiaries.

Now, as I asked earlier, how do you defend any of this? Whining about the lazy no good poor people is just a red herring

The poor contribute little to nothing to society. When are they going to pay their fair share. If they don't want to contribute their parts, that's OK. Don't expect to benefit from society like those that do their part.

The argument of they pay other taxes is meaningless. The only way that would mean something is if those of us paying income taxes didn't have to pay those others. We pay both. Your argument is foolish and nothing more than an excuse for people that do nothing to benefit society.

The argument of they pay other taxes is meaningless. The only way that would mean something is if those of us paying income taxes didn't have to pay those others. We pay both. Your argument is foolish and nothing more than an excuse for people that do nothing to benefit society.

The poor contribute little or nothing to society? Man but your a dumber than a box of rocks. How the hell do you think people get wealthy, by contributing to society? Damn but that is rich. They get wealthy by TAKING you fool.

Now don't get me wrong. Yes, when someone creates a new product, invests in capital equipment, and churns out that new and better mousetrap, well you could make an argument that they are contributing to society. But that is not the norm. It is most certainly not the norm for those facing the estate tax.

See, you can get more money by either making more pie or by taking more of the pie that is already there. When you take more of the pie that is already there, you are not contributing jack shit. You are TAKING, and that is called "rent seeking". And this Trump tax plan is the ultimate example of rent seeking. Wealthy individuals fund campaigns. They expect something in return. Hell, the vast majority of contributions to the Republican party at the beginning of the last election cycle came from a handful of individuals. They maxed out their personal contributions and then funneled millions in "dark money" to PAC's. And surprise, surprise, it is those very people that stand to benefit the most from Trump's tax plan.

See, with the elimination of the estate tax and the drop in the personal income tax rate, well they get more money, MORE OF THE PIE, without creating a damn thing. And where does that pie come from? It comes from the poor and middle class, the exact same place it has been coming from for damn near four decades. Trumps tax plan will exacerbate what is already the biggest problem in our current economy, RENT SEEKING.

And here is the real deal. I don't blame those wealthy individuals. Hell, I might do the exact same thing. I blame the ignorant SOB's that don't even have a minimal understanding of fundamental economics and have their head so far up their ass that they can't see the light of day. The ones that blindly and foolish support policy initiatives that suck the marrow from the bones of the people, like Trump's tax plan. In short, people like YOU.

And you hate wealthy people because...?
I LOVE wealthy people I might be one of them soon if Obamas market keeps up

Blues try to be an honest broker here What was the DOW a month or 2 after Obama was elected and what was it when he left ?? And how many were employed during his 8 years in office and how far down did our unemployment sink? These are not difficult questions to answer Even JC sassy or bri could answer them

Obama's policies were anti jobs, anti business, and hurt not helped the stock market. An honest answer would be that the stock market improved IN SPITE OF Obama not with his help. Hence bragging about the so called Obama market is utter nonsense.

But feel free to post the Obama policies that you feel improved the stock market, you can't because they don't exist but try if you wish.

oh no. someone else may not pay as much tax as I think they should. my world is going to end. it's all just so unfair.

Nothing to do with your thinking, everything to do disastrous fiscal policies and shameless way Trump lies on the daily basis
Fiscal irresponsibility isn't stealing more. It's spending too much.

So go ahead and cut the spending to PAY FOR the revenue cuts proposed.

Trump's proposes NOTHING of the sort and these cuts coming at a time of blowing up deficits and debt are blatantly fiscally irresponsible.

Democrats will refuse to cut anything, so if doesn't matter!

Claims that he, and other rich will not benefit from his tax-cut...while it does EVERYTHING to benefit them:

1. removing inheritance tax.
2. Removes Alternate Minimum tax
3. pass through business income top bracket cut from 39 to just 20%
4. Top personal income rate from 39 to 35%
5. Corporate tax rate cut from 35% to 20%

This all adds up to a HUGE TAX CUTS FOR THE RICH and Trump personally with not a single idea on how to pay for all that.

And then he tops it off with "Belive me!"...what the fuck is wrong with him and how can his supporters stand by him when he pretty much spits in their face like that and calls them too stupid to know better.

Analysis | Tax reform is ‘not good for me, believe me,’ Trump said. Don’t.
The thread has quickly deflected to a general discussion on taxes and gotten away from the thread title and topic, trump shamelessly lying about his tax plan. Why does he need to lie about it? Why do his supporters expect the rest of the population to just accept his lying as standard operating procedure? If the con man has to lie there is a reason for it.
YES, Trump is a LIAR, the liar of all liars, the Man of Deceit and Deception....!

So, you are giving up the title?

NO one pays NO taxes, every trip to the store is taxed. if you own property your taxed, car taxed, work taxed. do you no what % is not taxed?

How may of those taxes are from the federal government?

Oh, wait! You didn't think of that, did you?

That fool forgets people who pay no Federal income tax can still get a refund from federal tax credits, those offset state sales taxes.

Every time taxes get cut the tax revenue actually goes up. Then those jack offs spend even more. There needs to be a balanced budget amendment.

Blatant falsehood.

Tax cuts at current rates do exactly what common sense tells you they do: People pay less tax, government collects less revenues, it's really not that complicated.

Politico rightwingers try to confuse the issue by pointing to long term nominal, un-adjusted for normal growth and inflation, revenue numbers, but there is no free lunch here, just cranks and charlatans misinforming you, as even conservative economists will explain.

History says you are wrong. Look up the revenues generated after Kennedy's tax cuts and Reagan's tax cuts.

Exactly! My daughter qualifies for the EITC because she has a deadbeat ex. Ironically, her refund matched my total tax bill almost dollar for dollar.
