Trump Keeps Promise: USA Out of TPP

Trump formally withdrew the United States from the Trans-Pacific Partnership -- a 12-nation deal that had been negotiated under former President Barack Obama.

Nothing changes because of Trump's move. Congress had not yet approved the TPP -- its fate was bleak on Capitol Hill no matter what the White House did -- and the deal had not yet taken effect.

However, by pulling the United States out of the deal, Trump fulfilled a campaign promise.

And in doing so, he ends all hopes for a deal Obama wanted as a major part of his legacy.

The fundamental transformation of Obama's America begins!

So begins the Presidency of the orange clown. In the first three day, multiple lies, and picking a major fight with the press in the US. Right now, for his first three days in office, the clown has the lowest approval rating, and highest disapproval rating of any President at this time since the polls were taken.

Donald Trump's approval rating is the lowest of any president-elect in two decades

'Alternative facts' is a wonderfully 'Goebbels like' euphemism for an outright lie.

So, we are out of the TPP, but the other 11 are in. Going to be interesting to see how that works out for us.

I have to admit this one confuses me. At first I agreed with Sanders et al, but like so much economic knowledge you find you've entered fantasy-land. What works the best for America and its workers, I'll exclude the rich corporate types they have enough already. See the piece below. Isolation doesn't work either. What is required is a balancing act in which Americans support each other and made here without getting too crazy.

Trump kills TPP, giving China its first big win

"Such tendencies in American Life as isolationism and the extreme nationalism that usually goes with it, hatred of Europe and Europeans, racial, religious, and nativist phobias, resentment of big business, trade-unionism, intellectuals, the eastern seaboard and its culture - all these have been found not only in opposition to reform but also at times oddly combined with it. One of the most interesting and least studied aspects of American Life has been a frequent recurrence of the demand for reforms, many of them aimed at the remedy of genuine ills, combined with strong moral convictions and with a choice of hatred as a kind of creed." 'The Age of Reform' by Richard Hofstadter

Most likely destroy it.

The only thing is his going to destroy with his pen are progressives' dreams of the state running every aspect of our lives.

Haste makes waste, and that is how he ran his life which is why he got so overextended he filed business bankruptcy 6 times. The banks said he was too big to fail, they did not want his tangible assets, so they reorganize his defaults. Then they quit borrowing to him. He is a loser, and now we have a loser for President , a charlatan, who has a pen and feels he can break every law there is.

Heard a radio report this morning that president Trump is set to kick the lefty dopes in their Keystone pipeline private parts today. Won't that be fun!

Bunch of lefties are sure to shitfit themselves to death during the next eight years. Rest in peace and good friggin' riddance.

Oh and what do the progressives make you do??

They make us buy overpriced health insurance we don't want and can't use because its too expensive.

Are you really this dumb?

Trump's a doer, unlike that shiftless obama, who spent most of his time goofing off on the golf course and worrying about his so called legacy, when he wasn't conspiring with al sharpton on how to create hate and discontent between the races. Come to think of it, lucky he wasn't a workaholic. The tpp was a secret deal created by corporations not meant to have any oversight by the citizenry. obama tried to keep it secret from us even though he promised us the most transparent administration etc.

Time to put China on notice that you will no longer rip the United States off by closing your markets and dumping your crap on our market. Time to see "Made in USA" on the shelves at Wal-Mart.
