Trump Approval Jumps ahead of Obama’s Midterm Approval Rating

Those pesky polls

President Trump's approval rating before the November elections has jumped to a higher level than former President Obama's ahead of the 2010 midterms, according to a new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll.

The poll found Trump's approval rating at its highest level for that poll yet, at 47 percent. Obama's approval rating was 45 percent around the same time in 2010, according to a similar NBC/Wall Street Journal poll taken in late October 2010.

Obama's approval rating was reaching a record low in October 2010, just before his party lost a significant number of seats in the House and Senate.

Trump is a historically unpopular president among the general U.S. population, but consistently retains extremely high levels of Republican support. Recent polls have put him at around a 90 percent approval rating among Republicans.

Same poll still puts democrats up by 9 in the generic ballot.
Nice.... but that has nothing to do with this thread. This thread is about how Trump exceeds Obama's approval rating

The implication is clear even if it is not spoken. Somehow the Republicans will hold the House and Senate. By the way Obama's approvals are much higher than they were during his Presidency. Apparently Obama looks much better than Trump today.

Or we approve of him not being President anymore?

Yet from what I see, [edit...in that linked 2010 poll] Obama's positives always outweighed his negatives. The same can't be said for Trump.

Let's be honest, CNM...Barry could have done yoga in the Rose Garden of the White House...played a little golf...hung out on Martha's Vineyard with the liberal elite and done nothing else and he STILL would have been worshipped by his base!

In contrast Donald Trump could grow the economy...reduce unemployment to historic levels...reduce the number of people on food stamps dramatically...use the threat of tariffs to get better trade deals from the EU, Mexico and Canada...get North Korea to the bargaining table and stop them from firing off missiles...and the left would STILL hate his guts because he beat Hillary!

The economy was getting better under Obama and unemployment was dropping. Food stamp use is dropping because Republicans are making them harder to get not because they are not needed. Voters do not support Trump's trade policies. Any President could have met with North Korea and done that but refused to recognize him as a legitimate leader as Trump has done.

Both Obama and George W Bush's Presidential approvals are much higher than they were when they were in office, It shows that in comparison to Trump, those Presidencies were better.

You can't have an accurate approval rating after you leave office.

Only because everyone was so happy to see them leave office.

When did anyone "vote" on Trump's trade policies? Liberals don't support Trump's trade policies...even though they've been good for American workers...because let's face it...liberals don't really care about blue collar American workers anymore!
BB...claiming the economy was getting better under Obama when he oversaw the worst recovery from a recession in modern economic history is an amusing slant on things since the thing that was driving the economy during his second term was the energy boom created by fracking...something that Barry opposed! So the economy got better DESPITE Obama...not because of him!
