Political Fallout Begins From Ceasefire

Trouble at Home

If it becomes clear the country is headed towards elections, Netanyahu’s greatest challenge is likely to come – ironically – from his own Likud Party. Although he successfully sidelined his political nemesis Danny Danon for the latter’s criticism of the war effort, Danon represents a popular young guard of up-and-coming Likudniks that have important inside the Likud Central Committee.
At the same time, many members of the Central Committee feel the prime minister has overstepped the bounds of his office as party leader, and they feel Netanyahu does not take their views or votes into account. For the moment, Netanyahu has continued to maintain control of the party, but only just. The Likud Central Committee is due to meet in Ashkelon in two weeks to discuss Operation Protective Edge and the ceasefire agreement. Expect it to be a stormy session, that could conceivably end badly for the prime minister.
PM faces criticism from right and left as ceasefire enters second day; increasing signs that early elections could be held in early 2015.

I don't think PM BiBi is ready to leave his job unfinished. I only hope I'm wrong.

During crisis all politicians trying to cut their coupons, but eventually it all shrink comparing the great work Netanyahu does and did before.

Yes same here, they are think they can do a better job. Its easy to play Mon night quarterback, or should I say Tues morning.

You can add this to the rhetoric.

Hamas’s true objective in Operation Protective Edge – and negotiations that may follow – is in “liberating” Jerusalem from the Jews, a Hamas spokesman stated earlier this week.

“The time has come for us to say that the true war is not aimed at opening border crossings,” Sami Abu Zuhri said. “Our true war is aimed at the liberation of Jerusalem, Allah willing.” His words were translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute, or MEMRI.

He then chanted “Khaybar, Khaybar al Yahood,” an Arabic phrase meaning that Allah will return to expel (or kill) the Jews. Khaybar was a Jewish village north of Medina, Saudi Arabia, which was conquered by Islamists in 629 CE. Crowds waving Hamas flags cheered him on.

Hamas Our War is for Liberating Jerusalem United with Israel

Hamas and Fatah are TWO of our problems, double headed snake is the best way I can desribe it as they connect to the Palestinians but leading them in somewhat different directions..

They are the main source of problems with the Palestinians in example - the way to negotiate with one must involve the oother but they cannot control each other as they fight for leadership, we got other bigger issues anyway.

Gaza War's Clear Loser: Netanyahu

Back in 2009, Israel was festooned with election campaign banners that read, “A Strong Leader for a Strong Nation.” They were Benjamin Netanyahu’s banners, which, even if he had them in stock today, he would not dare use.

We have reached the Morning After, and this is an unhappy, dissatisfied, wounded and worried country. Israel is not feeling strong. And Israelis know that in this neighborhood, if you are not strong or do not appear strong, you simply cannot survive. Makor Rishon, a center-right daily, ran a front page article this morning quoting Iranian officials as saying that these are Israel’s final years.

Such a brilliant analysis..but I'm very satisfied by Netanyahu's job.
Makor Rishon is a political left wing magazine with something like 10 subscribers including the staff, read Israel Hayom or any other free newspaper which doesn't get funded by political interest.
If you want a decent left wing newspaper you can read Haaretz witch is nothing amazing but definitely a left wing only type of newspaper, the balanced-left wing newspaper alternative is Yediot Aharonot.
