*We are always right, they are always wrong.
*We are the good guys, they are bad guys.
*Only we are real Americans, the other guy's are not.
*Our media outlets tell us what only we want to hear,
everything else is "fake news"
*The new golden rule: Compromise is a sign of weakness!

The stories, the scores, the scandals, the winners and losers.
It's such good sport.

-and while the fans cheer and yell for their teams, gridlock grips
the government. The national debt rises, the infrastructure crumbles,
laws don't get passed, and a national divide not seen since the days
of the civil war grows deeper.

"A house divided against itself will not stand"

Each tribe is somehow convinced that it will ultimately "beat" the other tribe, so no compromise is needed.

Then, when they've "beaten" the other tribe, they'll shove their whole agenda straight down our throats.

Delusional authoritarians, both tribes.
.

Funny that so-called "independents" seem to have no core values or inclination to take part in the political debate but yet they whine about a "house divided".
