Nothing signifies how backwards our country’s priorities are more than what we spend our money on. The International Monetary Fund (IMF), not known as a bastion of socialist sentiment, has released a report on fossil fuel subsidies around the world. Analyzing costs around the globe, spent by governments on energy in general, the IMF found that the United States spent the second most, behind China and just ahead of Russia, on subsidies with $649 billion in 2015 alone.

Can't wait to see the socialism fucktards try to defend this one.

$649 Billion. In one year. But we need to slash spending right socialism fucktards?

both need to be stopped,,,

Unless people want their gas prices to go up or energy bills to go up...

Nor are they really subsidies.

Federal government should be spending $0 on education.

What in the hell does spending on education have to do with spending on development of resources. You make is sound as though the amount spent on one should be tied to the other. Why? There is no logical connection.

I'm against the subsidies and I see education as mostly a local concern that the federal government should stay away from.
Uneducated people are easily manipulated. Education..to a basic standard..is in all our best interests, Also, controlling the youth 12-19 is in a culture's best interest--not saying that school is the sole answer there...but some kind of mechanism needs be in place. Lest the lil' bastards f shit up.

Of political interest...if some States spend big on education..and some do not...what does the US look like 50 years hence/ Who is running things..and who is being ran?

Just sayin'...

I'll echo what others have said, what exactly constitutes a "subsidy" in this case? I'd love to see a breakdown.

1 question--------->show me where the federal government cut the checks for that 600 billion. Show us!

You can't, because they DIDN'T, you propagandist! You are trying to equate LEGAL deductions, with somehow claiming what they did was UNFAIR, or ILLEGAL!

People like you are PATHETIC! Hey, your peeps control the House now, tell them to change the laws, go ahead! Quit whining like a melting snowflake, because you don't like how this business, or that business works.

In fact, I have a BETTER IDEA! Why don't all you Leftists get together, and invest in what ever kind of energy you want, then try and sell it! Hey, you could become billion or trillionaires. And while your at it, don't take any deductions, do it the Leftist way, and lets see how you do! Put YOUR money, where YOUR mouth is-) Every Leftist in the country will buy your PURE stuff, no matter the cost, correct?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Go ahead, try it, and lets see. I dare ya!
