Too Funny! New York City Is Sinking!

Pittsburg beach homes for sale..... LMAO lets all go the Manhattan and start jumping up and down.....

They just figured out that New York is sinking at a rate of about an inch lower every 17 years now, with some places sinking faster. Meanwhile the ocean is rising.

That means that it will be a foot closer to the ocean in 200 years!

Meanwhile, how much will the ocean have risen by then?

New York libs are literally sinking under the weight of the trillion tons of glass, marble, stone and steel they have piled up on Manhattan!!! :auiqs.jpg:

On the bright side, when New York turns into Venice Italy, all the rats will drown.

Quit trolling my thread asshole.
My you are fragile. It's always amusing to see you people who usually live in unremarkable franchise towns try to act like any big city is a total irredeemable hellhole. I've lived in the big city and it certainly had it's downside but the entertainment options were endless and the money was great.

You just keep living in your big blue shithole. No amount of venom from you pointless losers is going to change the way we feel about living in the clean, quiet, safe places we live in.

Just don't come to Mayberry when your shithole becomes a food desert.

.

NYC is the quintessential American city. The hate from county bumpkin Magats regarding it is a psychosis.

"too Funny," the Whole East and Gulf Coast is sinking you Idiot.

Where is the East Coast sinking?

New research published in the journal Nature Communications finds that the Atlantic Coast—home to more than a third of the US population—is dropping by several millimeters per year. In Charleston, South Carolina, and the Chesapeake Bay, it's up to 5 millimeters (a fifth of an inch).Apr 26, 2023

Maybe, but it is still funny. Maybe they just have better proof or a more accurate estimate on the gradual settling of the city.

8.6 million people living just 33 feet above sea level.

That's also virtually all of S Florida.
And the whole Midlantic and Southeast Coast.
Not to mention the Gulf coast.

So in fact the OP is a Stupid Troll cherry picking just NYC when many places are sinking even more.

Idiots are what idiots are. Wrong again, moron, you obviously didn't bother to even read the OP link. This is not a matter of mere sea level, it is the fact that the rock under Manhattan is literally slowly crushing and compacting under the weight of all of NYC.

Thanks again for proving what an imbecile you really are.

Miami has the IDENTICAL Problem building on even SOFTER porous limestone, as opposed to NYC's Bedrock.
Many places have Natural subsidence even worse on the East Coast

""Sea levels in South Florida have gone up about a Foot since the 1930s, but around 2011, the slow upward creep of the ocean seemed to kick into high gear, with tidal gauges recording much faster rates of sea level rise and residents noting a stark uptick in so-called “nuisance” floods.
A new study confirms that this was not Floridians’ imaginations: From 2011 to at least 2015, the rate of sea level rise across the Southeastern US shot up by a factor of Six, from 3-4 millimeters a year to 20, and a combination of oceanic and atmospheric processes seem to be responsible
[.....]
“The Miami area started getting almost an Inch of sea level [rise] a year,” Hal Wanless, a coastal geologist at the University of Miami, told Gizmodo. “People noticed that.”

Have a party. I've posted tons in here because so many of our Military bases are on the coast

FU Rookie MAGAt.

Miami has no problem except the one they create. If the bedrock is just soft limestone (most of Florida is over drainage caves) then they simply should build somewhere else.

That is their own stupidity. The builders of NYC thought they were on solid granite bedrock and safe.

It's because of all the fat people weighing it down - that's why Adams signed the weight discrimination bill.

And massive homelessness, drugs, and crime.
