He went from the gut instead of rational thought of consequences

Prior to authorizing the bin Laden raid there were many rules of engagement that had to be met. They included weather, verification of the target, training the SEAL team on the mission, evaluating international ramifications..

The result was a successful mission without the loss of US lives

We have already seen the results of Bush's impulsive decisions

Obama has a clear history of being absent. As a state senator and as a US congressman he either voted absent a lot or simply missed votes. Now as president he has skipped about half his intelligence meetings.
