Only a relative handful of people were both in need of health care and weren't receiving it at the time the Obamacare Abomination was conceived of. But the ACA included all kinds of restrictions on everyone- not just the narrow band of people with problems.

Funny thing about the VA is that it has never provided good service. In fact veterans have died waiting to get treated because government bureaucrats didn't give a shit about them.

I think you are a bit confused. Most of the VA system is actually pretty good at what it does. A few hospitals kind of suck, but you could find the same thing in the Civilian sector... bad management, poor funding, etc.

But, yeah, when you flood the system with thousands of wounded and psychologically damaged vets, and don't set aside the money for that because you are giving tax breaks to billionaires, things are going to kind of suck.

I think you are a little confused. Before Pearl Harbor, unemployment was at 15%, there weren't a lot of good jobs out there. No one was terribly interested in another war in Europe until the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor and Hitler was dumb enough to declare war on us.

I think you are a tad confused... Germany had universal health care going back to 1888, when Otto von Bismarck created that system, which is a combination of private and public funding.

The funny thing is that ObamaCare is not single payer like Canada or a national health system like the UK. It's kind of like what Germany has had since Bismarck. Something that Republicans were all for before the black guy did it.
