So if biden sez they can start drilling today, etc etc etc is that an executive order that they can bypass 10 years of requirements
I'd love to see someone just go drag a rig out on a site and start drilling and see what happens

They must organize and safely manage their reservoir and satisfy several regulatory requirements, such as an onsite inspection, environmental review and permit approval. This process can actually take up to 10 years.

Experts say even if these companies start drilling more oil wells today, it could take anywhere from six months to years for that oil to start flowing.

Dec 06, 2021 · Despite pledging to stop permitting oil and gas drilling on federal lands, President Joe Biden’s administration is approving permits at a faster rate than President Donald Trump did during most of his presidency,

The Interior Department approved about 2,500 permits to drill on public and tribal lands in the first six months of the year

The Biden administration has issued more permits for oil and gas drilling on public land per month than the Trump administration did in its first three years,

so why would a guy issue that many permits, but shut down "one" measly pipeline.
Something fishy here.
besides, like i said drag a rig out there and see what happens

Drill baby drill, produces more energy for the USA

The pipeline? · Keystone XL is a tar sands pipeline to export oil out of the United States

However, unlike the oil sands deposits in Canada, oil is not currently produced from tar sands on a significant commercial level in the United States.

not true

Did you read your own citation? More offshore permits than under the Trump administration.

None of that is justification for canceling the pipeline.

After Biden was sued and forced to issue the permits. Then rendered useless by all sorts of EPA regulations and ridiculous jacked up royalties. We fully understand how the lying Biden admin works.

ok drag a rig out there and start drilling, see what happens
At $100 a barrel oil companies certainly are.

But it doesn't happen in a day and meanwhile 30million reserve barrels Biden commited to opening up will make up Russian crude shortfall for about half a year.

It has already been demonstrated that the number of leases don't matter. Most of these leases would be dry holes.

30 million bbls is less than 3 days of American consumption.
