On Friday, the White House unveiled a proposed rule that would make it even harder than in the past for an incoming Republican president to wrestle control of the left-leaning federal bureaucracy and actually implement the conservative policies promised to voters.

Of the 2.2 million federal civil workers, only 4,000 are presidential appointees. The rest stay in their jobs, from one administration to the next, protected by rules that make it nearly impossible to discipline or replace them.

They overwhelmingly favor the left. A staggering 95% of unionized federal employees who donate to political candidates give to Democrats, according to Open Secrets. Only a tiny 5% support Republicans.

THIS is what I've heard the "deep state" as being referred to - the mass of unelected government officials and employees.

This is the muck and detritus at the bottom of the swamp, and it's pretty damn nefarious, for the reasons highlighted in the article. They can just simply NOT do what an R president and/or Congress instruct them to do, and they're often protected from being removed.

That shit needs to change but the joke is on them as "nearly impossible" does not include mass reduction of force lay-offs.

Lay them off, cull through the lay-off list and bring back only those that won't impede the changes necessary to right the ship, then just never call the rest back....Easy-Peasy.

Time to go medieval on the entrenched leftists.

Thank goodness. Imagine if 95% of federal workers were people who wanted to end the republic instead.

I see you're an idiot here as well.

They will choose their salaries and benefits over the Republic. And have. I believe we need new people running for office and hiring people to exterminate your exterminators who are on all sides.

They are normal human beings who do their jobs. The incels who have convinced you they're involved in attempting to end our country are the ones who are actually hoping for an end to the country.

LOL....It's a stretch but they are the ones handling the mail-in ballots.....Would you MAGA supporters handling them?

Oh wait MAGA folks are honest for the most part. ;)
There’s lots of MAGA types in the post office. I used to run maintenance for one of the biggest Distribution centers in NYC and they were all over the place so…. Yeah
