Burundi, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Kyrgystan, Togo, The UAE, and Venezuala selected to serve 3-tear terms on the UN Human Rights Council.

Huh? The remaining 11 states are Belgium, Côte d'Ivoire, Georgia, Germany, Kenya, Mongolia, Panama, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Slovenia, and Switzerland.

The UN story is @ UN News - General Assembly elects 18 members to UN Human Rights Council

It is an outrage that the U.N. entrusted the world’s human rights protection to some of the worst dictatorships and authoritarian regimes,” said Thor Halvorssen, president of the foundation, in a statement. “A mere nine years after its foundation, the council today shows the same symptoms of hypocrisy and double standards displayed by the discredited Human Rights Commission that preceded it.”

Time after time, the UN shows its agenda that makes no sense when it comes to the rights and freedoms of people throughout the world. I understand it's a good forum for the nations of the world to come together and discuss their differences. But, like most similar bodies, it is run by faceless bureaucrats and clerks who drive the agenda. MHO is that we should kick it out of NYC. Let it convene in Switzerland or Lichtenstein.
