as long as they are willing to stand by the consequences of their actions

I agree. As a business owner, one should be free to serve, or refuse to serve whom ever they like. For whatever reason they like. It’s the essence of freedom; and free enterprise.

They are in the right, this is America or at least it used to be... lol

Good for the Red Hen, stand up for what you believe, and enjoy standing in that unemployment line.
The reality is that they will lilely become a Mecca of sorts for Leftists, and anti Trumpers within their area. This may have been a brilliant move for boosting sales. They’ve already made their name known in households across the nation.

According to the owner, the town the Red Hen is in voted overwhelmingly for Clinton, so I do not think that will be a problem for them.

A business is not really where you want to voice your politics, time will tell.

That's true, business should be vibrant for the next 3-4 weeks.

In this polarized climate; there just might be no better place. Add in a good smear campaign against your competition, and you might just have a recipe for success.

The right to refuse service to anyone is the best policy, by far.

It triggers hypocritical progressive control freaks to no end...

Reminds me of the Lee Marvin palimony lawsuit. When nobody remembers your name come up with a gimmick, same with Peter Fonda and Seth Rogan. Fonda has a new movie coming out, not sure about Rogan. Nevertheless, in a few months Fonda's issue will be forgotten....along with his name.

I would agree personally, but this person seemed to know what she was doing so I will not pass judgment on her.

But you do make a good point!
