What does that mean, "worked 3 times harder?" I can go get a tractor and move 5 yards of gravel and grade it out level in 2 hours or so... I can also do it with a shovel and wheel barrow... One is harder than the other, does that mean I should get paid more because I decided to take 3 days of busting my ass over sitting on a tractor and busting ass for 2 hours?

I’m not even sure how your logic works… Do you feel a doctor should make the same as someone working at Subway just because they both put in a 40 hour week?

Some people make poor investments or run their company into the ground… Some invest very well and run a company great. Why should someone that does great in their work/life be penalized more? I honestly don’t understand the logic… Imagine 30 or 40… maybe 50% of all the money you make simply being removed/taken by Government… And some people wonder why outsourcing is such a viable option.

One simple number for you...."OUR" government spends over $11,000 PER CITIZEN...that is each and every one of us EACH and EVERY YEAR!

Now, keeping it simple for you, is the problem some "rich" guy making more than me OR is it that our government is OUT OF CONTROL?

Think about that number, $11,000......a family of four has $44,000 spent by it's government supposedly for it's benefit...that is each and every year.

Now, considering less than 1/2 of us now pay taxes lets do so me more math.

That would mean, forgetting income, YOUR "fair share" would be $22,000.....again, that is each and every year....and if you are married and have a couple of kids you would owe close to $90,000 a year in taxes!

Why do I know you don't pay anywhere near that? Now, try to keep up...if MOST people pay nowhere close to $90,000 a year for a family of fours taxes WHO is paying it?

For the most part I gave up, these boards are horrible. At almost any point in time there is not a single thread on the first page of threads worth reading. The amount of trolling posters on these boards have quite literally made the possibility of debate impossible, I mean we're spammed "Bush" whenever Obama and his policies have failed. It's like we all need a disclaimer that reads: "Just because I don't like many or all of Obama's policies that does not mean I supported Bush... In fact many of Obama's policies are the same as Bush's and that is one reason I already know I don't like the polices."

Not that it would matter as it seems the point on these boards is to attack, relentless attacking.

Like the debt ceiling... Who tells who off better, yet neither side has offered up a fix worth mentioning. In fact they all add massive amounts to the deficit over 10 years.

I've never earned money from tax cuts.
Tax cuts means the gov't takes less than what they had been taking, of money someone earned on his own. No one gave it to him. He did something productive than someone was willing to pay him for.
What did he do to deserve that? He worked.
The better question is, what did people at the bottom of society do to deserve the unprecedented level of benefits they receive?

The debt you're referring to also has a missing revenue component to consider.

If corporations and the richest among us were taxed at the same rates they were half-a-century ago, we would not need to borrow as much from China or from the same rich American parasites that are sitting on trillions of dollars in cash after costing the US economy $14 trillion and 8 million lost jobs since the Fall of '08.

Government has also taken "earnings" from people until they have impoverished the whole of their country. A bloated Government with its vast monopoly of violence and control of infrastructure has throughout history destroyed its own citizens until finally collapsing upon itself... It seems you have not learned this lesson.

There are several very simple reasons the constitution put restraints on what our Government was allowed to do… Yet politicians have slowly eroded the constitution and grown Government, yet near every program Government has taken over and promised would “fixed” has somehow lead us to a point in time where we can no longer afford this wonderful paradise. Now Government must take predictable steps (if you look at history) and find ways to impoverish their citizens.

Of course something tells me you will argue taking more from the rich is not impoverishing anyone, however there are huge consequences to raising taxes significantly on any group.

We as a country are following the same pattern of history. We grow faster, lived shorter and will fall faster.
