Along the lines of too much else in our society, the increasingly limp-wristed are too often heard to exclaim that they would never (gasp!) allow their precious to play the brutish and invariably fatal game of football, let alone other even more violent pursuits.

A sad state of affairs.

YOu are right. What kind of parents wouldn't want to deny their child an opportunity the suffer concussive brain injuries.

Scatboy suffered a bunch of those growing up, and look how he turned out.

Never one to deviate, JoeB131 comes down on the wrong side of the issue yet again!

He's batting 1000!

How many years did you play football, I did 12..

Wonder how much tickets for the Flag Football Super Bowl go for?

Uh, guy, here's the thing. Parents of affluent kids aren't letting them play football. It's why the NFL report often looks like the Crime Blotter. Drugs, domestic violence, dog fighting, and the occasional homicide.

They don't? Look up Johnny Manziel's parents. Do you have an idea how many second and third generation players are in the NFL?

Eh, football's now an official liberal/political pussification sport... the party's over...

Switch to the NHL...

More egalitarian than golf; it depends on who is running the program, like most sports.

Some pretty ignorant people posting lies. Crime rate for NFL is less than the general population.

You have to be dumber than NFL players and the general population think otherwise.
